Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on MSC Preziosa

My girlfriend and I have cruises with other cruise lines before and thought we would give msc a try mainly due to the itinerary. What a mistake. It all started with booking. We purchased on msc.ca. The purchase of the cruise was fine but we came to learn we could not book any excursions online or shuttle transfers since the website did not work. Why launch a site if it is not ready!?!!? Online ...

- No sport facilities (i.e. only 1 ping pong table with no racket) - Everything always close (i.e. all pools are close at 9pm, cinema open from 5pm to 7pm lol) - Bad food - Virgin island destination swapped with St Lucia (announced only onboard, no compensation) - Terrible food at restaurant - Some of my shoes and shirts were stolen - Unpleasant crew members - Every single ...

How many different ways can I say, 'never again'?

I think I really, truly realized that MSC was not for me when I was lying, practically naked, under a towel at the spa trying to enjoy my Aurea experience massage while my masseuse pressure-sold me into booking another massage. Of course, there had been many whomp-whomps up to that point - but nothing says 'we don't give two craps about you' like encouraging your staff to throw you a sales pitch ...

Avoid at any cost

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Divina

I picked it with my friends to meet New Year and it was a mistake. From chaos in buffet where 4000+ passengers were milling around to always cold food including cold scrambled eggs there is no logical organization, tepid water instead of hot one to make a tea. In Panama an excursion that supposed to start at 9.30 began at 11.30 and these 2 stolen hours were not compensated. Company new that it ...

Oh woe, oh woe, MSC Christmas and a crappy new year. 15 Nights

We were looking for a Christmas/New year cruise and this seemed to fit the bill. Big Mistake. Cabin was a little small and could do with more storage. Balcony was small compared to other ships. The pillows were particularly uncomfortable. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the cabin and hairdryer provided though it's a bit weak. The housekeeping was not to the standard of other cruise ...

Nice ship, awful cruise

We chose this cruise to get some winter sunshine and we were lucky as the weather was excellent, with just one day of rain. We flew from Gatwick and the organisation at the airport was superb ( bags dropped off and we didn’t see them until we got to our cabin on the ship). Embarkation was quick and no problems, unfortunately our problems then started to occur. Our arrival at the port was later ...

Disappointing and expensive

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Divina

Overall I would describe my experience on the MSC Divina as disappointing. There were things I liked and things I hated, and unfortunately the bad outweighed the good. The ship itself was beautiful, clean, and elegant and most of the ports were great; however, that’s about where the positives stop. 99% of the staff was terrible (the exception being my server at dinner- Jatiana was phenomenal). ...

WORST CRUISE EVER, HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED

We wanted to try a new cruise line and heard about msc. the divina is a beautiful ship with many elegant features. We had an 11 am boarding time, but for some reason, no one could board until after 2 pm. We finally boarded just before 3 pm. balcony rooms were a bit smaller but comfortable. my wife noticed that the kleenex dispenser was empty and there were no wash cloths. we asked the ...

Incompetent cruise director

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Divina

We sailed on this ship on 3 previous occasions and loved it. We liked the itinerary and price. Unfortunately, things have changed and the crew is incompetent. They kept our American passport when we got on. Made it difficult to get it back. Food is now terrible. Little info about ports. Entertainment is repetitive. No television service other than free movies of their choice. Very poor Wifi and no ...

Big Disappointment

In 2015, I had traveled on the MSC Divina to the Caribbean. It was a good trip on a ship that needed some upgrades but not unacceptable. In 2019, I again traveled on the Divina – repositioning cruise Milan to Miami. I was so disappointed in the condition of the ship, the food, the entertainment, the coldness of the officers and the rudeness of European fellow passengers. There were ...
