We chose this for its itinerary, and it was good. We loved Cahuita Nation Park in Costa Rica. We did tow out of the ay tours in Jamaica, but hit a traffic jam on the way back that messed up our final olans. Captain Roger;s catamaran in Roatan was superb. Tortuguero canal allowed us to see more animals. The private island is surprisingly pleasing. My daughter puts it well: MSC is Carnival for ...
The ship is pretty. However there’s nothing to do on the ship. They have over priced dollar store crap in their stores and minimal shows you can attended. Most other cruise lines have fun activities planned all day long. MSC doesn’t they have one major show that’s performed 2 times a night.
Their staff is actually pretty rude too.
The food is weird. On their island they served some odd items ...
First observation when we arrived at the pool deck, no music, only a very disappointing 15-20 minute animated game throughout the cruise. we had to use our own speaker…. The pool was too deep, and the jacuzzi was overload. Chair was very dangerous and broken.
The quality of the food has dropped significantly compared to Seascape. Almost no seafood etc and very basic menu. unfortunately only one ...
We were pleasantly surprised with this cruise ship. Although a bit older (refurbished in 2021), the ship was nice and clean with many amenities. Our cabin (balcony) was really nice. Although not many restaurants as other larger cruise ships, it met our expectations for a five day cruise. Service was great and crew members were really nice. Our cabin attendant was very attentive to our request and ...
My husband and I embarked on this cruise, despite a radically changed itinerary, because MSC refused our request for a refund. However, our experience was so awful that we disembarked on day 20 of 85 in Walvis Bay, Namibia, and flew home from there. Better to forfeit the unused cruise fare than to continue to subject ourselves to the cruise line’s utter disdain for passengers and 65 more days of ...
Pros are supposed to go before cons, so I will put the positives first, but please don’t miss the negatives later in this review, because although there were a few redeeming qualities, make no mistake, I would never sail with MSC again.
First positive, all the staff below the managerial level deserve to be commended for being true, if not powerless, delights. We had many wonderful interactions ...
If I could give no stars I would. I joined a world cruise with MSC and have had nothing but frustration and grievances. If you are a parent I highly suggest considering another cruise line. A child was assaulted by an adult passenger and when the parents filed a complaint after bringing him to the medical center, nothing was done but a warning. The baby pool on the cruise was under maintenance ...
I chose this cruise line after hearing positive reviews from friends. However, they hadn't cruised on the Magnifica. My family and I were disappointed with the food and drinks offered. When ordering scallop ceviche, I received tiny shrimp on lettuce with no seasoning. I ordered gumbo and received chicken broth with clams and some rice. Drinks were inconsistent with many being either watered down ...
We are currently on this terrible cruise
Over 500 people on board have signed a petition protesting the way MSC are treating us.
1. So many sea days
Change of itinerary increasing itinerary to an extra 20 sea days, less port times, and no compensation for these changes or refunds of tax and port fees.
As compared to other cruise companies such as Cunard, princess, costa etc who have ...
MSC said the ship was refurbished in 2023 and they must be talking about the exterior of the ship. The public stairs lot dated with the teal and chocolate motif. The cabins are either navy or bordello red. The furniture in the cabin is worn, sun bleached and dated, think 90’s. Dining options are limited. There is the main dining room offering a selection of reoccurring average to say the best ...
