We usually do 3 cruises a year, but covid stopped that. Having cruise withdrawal we decided to try MSC. We were surprised with the status match program, accepting Elite status from Princess. The Divina was only about 25% full. The crew could not do enough to help. The announcements were only in English and smoking was restricted to only a few areas with fines for smoking in rooms and on balconies. ...
INTRO: First of all I would like to explain that this is only one passenger's opinion, I travelled solo, but it is a very honest one. I chose these cruises because I live close to the port and they had a very good deal on a back-to-back, 7 and 5 days. Having never been on MSC before, but having cruised over 80 times in my 70 years, I thought I had seen the worst cruising had to offer on the NCL ...
Food on the ship was horrible, breakfast at the buffet was always cold and the burger at lunch was cold and had a wet bun. Now the good great ship and the staff was always nice and helpful my cabin was clean and well taken care of. The ship did go dead in the water between Ocean Cay and Mexico with the captain saying there would be a short delay it took about an hour to get the ship moving again. ...
Just returned... worst experience ever... MSC Divina... was supposed to be our daughters best experience but kids pool were under maintenance all the trip... they have to eat at the end of the restaurant, with no access to food as they are not vaccinated... we can't visit Bahamas as the regulations (no kids allowed in Bahamas as they said)... kids can't sing in karaokes... so basically they are ...
We've cruised on Disney, Carnival and NCL in the past, but when MSC offered a price that we couldn't refuse, we figured we'd give them a try...and we're glad we did. This was the Divina's first sailing from Port Canaveral, and first sailing since the pandemic. I'm glad to say that overall, MSC did a great job at preparing the ship and her crew for the return to sailing.
This was a 3 day ...
I chose this cruise as a getaway weekend.
At the time I didn’t realize it was the ship first cruise.
During checking their system crashed and there was a very long delay checking in. Over an hour and a half of the line not moving.
The kitchen in the main dining room was very backed up so the first nights dinner took over 2-1/2 hours.
I have cruised many times and to me it seemed the ...
I chose this because I just moved to Cape Canaveral and my new friends were going on it. It was all bad from getting on the ship to leaving it. The food in the dining room was horrible and the menu selections were awful I.e. the first night my selection was labeled a pig roll. There is no technology on this ship. No app to look at activities. Every time you order a drink they have to write ...
This is my second MSC Cruise and my first one not being in the Yacht Club. I received a time to arrive at the port of 13:00 and 2 days before the cruise it was changed to 14:00. I hung out at the airport to avoid having to wait outside the terminal for 1 hour in the Orlando heat. I arrived at the terminal at 14:00, there were not a lot of people in security. Once you go thru security, you have to ...
It was our first time on MSC. Being that the ship was only half full of passengers and the hole corona virus outbreak made for an uneasy cruise.
The food was average witch was disappointing as I was under the impression that their food was much better. I will say that they made very good pizza.
Not impressed with their steak house, I rarely send food back , but I had to with my first steak ...
I chose Divina for the classic nature of the ship and it’s original itinerary but that had to change because of the nature of covid-19 and that was completely understandable. The ship was absolutely beautiful, just as I was told it would be.
From the start MSC buffered us from the harsh realities of the outside world and encouraged us to stay informed but to relax and let them handle ...
