We tried an MSC Cruise from Rome after getting a great deal on a black Friday sale. I am glad we didn't pay a ton for the cruise. It came with included WIFI that worked really well. Also a drink package which was great. The ports were all ones we enjoyed and had looked forward to them. Ship was nice and new but just felt like it was done on the cheap. Seemed like every where you looked ...

Beautiful ship, poor entertainment

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

I chose this cruise for good value and newer and bigger ship. The ship is truly beautiful. 1. Dining room food was good, service was excellent, ambience was wonderful. 2. Buffet was chaotic. Food was displayed in 2 narrow aisles on each side of the ship. It was hard to find a seat. 3. Food was average, it lacked variety. Roasts of beef, lamb, chicken and pork were good. Soups were always ...

Ok, So this was my 1st time cruising on a MSC ship. Since I am handicapped, I tend to stick withe the known. But I decided to try something new. 1st: The Boat - The boat was very nice, almost to the point of being beautiful. Much better than some other lines The elevators: functioned well, BUT the doors close way too fast. If you are in a wheelchair, by the time you ...

DISAPOINTED

This cruise was our 9th cruise & the 2nd MSC cruise having previously cruised on the MSC Musica. The ship itself was magnificent & very modern & clean but that's where the good news finished. Overall the cruise was not up the level of previous cruises: Firstly the food selection was ordinary. It seems the staple selection was soup, pasta, burgers & hot dogs. The daily selection of other food ...

Beautiful ship with chaos

Good value! This ship is gorgeous with the best entertainment ever in the theater every night of the cruise. They speak multiple languages on the ship and we had a good time. The buffet is to be avoided at peak times with hordes of people, out of silverware and plates and cups and glasses! No hot milk for coffee or tea except for breakfast. Coffee can run cold most of the time. No ...

Wonderful Service Most Of The Time

This cruise was a replacement for one we cancelled from Miami so we didn’t know what to expect. We had just been on a Norwegian cruise the week before so we were able to make some comparisons. Right away we noticed that the buffet food was sub par. The food items were generally not hot no matter what time we arrived there and the milk should have been kept cold. I thought it was a recipe for ...

It's great to be back cruising, but for me MSC will probably be a one off.

Lets start off with the really great. Cruising is back! We are a couple nearing 50 and have now been on 85+ cruises on 11 different lines all over the world. Our main go to has been Celebrity, Royal and lately HAL and Oceania. We enjoy great food and wonderful service and this cruise ticket off just one of those boxes. More on that later. We chose this cruise just for the only reason MSC at ...

Clean Ship - Everything Else Disappointing

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Opera

It had a very good itinerary of destinations, at the right time for our plans. The destinations were great. The ship was very clean and comfortable. The food was awful. Very little selection, very slow service, very bland tasting, very little portions, very plain food. The pizza and baked fish were good. Everything was for sale - that normally comes standard with most quality cruises. ...

This was our first time with MSC. Previously we have cruised with Norwegian and Princess. Also our first European cruise. I was traveling with my wife and two kids (daughter 14 and son 11). Scheduled itinerary was Rome-Sea Day-Sicily-Malta-Barcelona-Marseilles-Genoa-Rome. Itinerary changed, actual itinerary was Rome-Rome-Corsica-Majorca-Barcelona-Marseilles-Genoa-Rome. Embarkation: We ...
