Improving but still a way to go...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Divina

We booked this cruse very last minute, and snapped up a reasonable deal on a YC1 cabin in the famous MSC Yacht Club, first things first, the Yacht Club is a wonderful experience and really does set a bar for service, unfortunately there are still so many small niggles that stop it being the luxury experience they sell. The constant sell sell sell from all staff, photos, speciality dining, spa etc ...

Just ok with NO service

We choose this cruise as we live in Rome and leaving from Civitaveccia is easy. Smooth embarking and cabin ready at 12.30. Aurea Suite which was with good space and nice view. I liked the beds and pillows. I did not like the linnen as it was not a pure cotton. They do not win the first price for cleaning. Many finger marks on doors and walls. On the first day I had to ask for the bathrobes, ...

Timing and port selection of cities which we had not visited,Last minute booking to fit a time slot which opened up.The food was not up to previous standards and the one hour time slot did not allow time for coffee. Thje buffet food was same quality as dining room. Unlike previous cruises there was constant nickle and dining going on. The drink packages and internet charges were high .Expect ...

Friendly staff but noisy and dirty ship

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Seaview

The ship is huge but the pools are few and small and get overcrowded. There is limited shade options when parents need to keep an eye on their bathing children. Buffet is ok, choose the 16th floor for all meals if eating this way. Do not go for early dining option in restaurant - not enough time to make it from excursion/ pool/ lunch. Portion sizes at dinner in restaurants are minute. Excursions: ...

Gorgeous Ship; Stops There for Now

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Seaview

We chose Seaview on 7/3-11 for ship and ports. We are experienced travelers and were very disappointed. First Cannes was a nightmare to embarbark/disembark from because of the ferries (did not know this until too late). Once on, being English speaking, we found ourselves among a very few (I am going to guess less than 5%) of passengers we could converse with. Ok, moved past that. We were ...

Beautiful and new ship

This ship was amazing and beautiful. Tastefully decorated, extremely clean and very nice cabins. But, the food was the downside. This was my first cruise with MSC. We've cruised many times on Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norwegian, Celebrity and Princess. The food on MSC was no comparison to these other lines. It was a disppointment in the main dining room and buffet. As spactacular as this ship is, ...

Great Ship and service, the food ...... got me sick

Location and time frame is great! The service is friendly most of the time. However, compared to the food I had on the US base cruise ships, MSC is not on the same level. The specialty restaurants are OK, I spent the last three nights eating at the dinner buffet instead of the main dining room because the food sucks. Not steak, extra cost 29.99 for Lobster Tail... I got food poisoned by ...

We boarded the older unfancy SINFONIA HOP ON HOP OFF Ship in Civitivecchia/Rome for the winter Med itinerary which included Malta and Greece. We read all the luke warm reviews and decided to go ahead and try this different cruise lines, whom were the only one to have this itinerary in the winter. I am glad this wasn’t our first cruise. There were plenty of English speaking pax aboard from all ...

Just got back from cruise in Rome beautiful ship cabins good size restaurant waiters cabin staff excellent I don’t know how they put up with so many rude customers. Food in Buffett lukewarm was told to ask for freshly made if I wanted it hot . Ridiculous this is how health issues start also no regard for health standard where was the hand sanitizer that all other cruise ships insist you use when ...
