Now that I am waiting to disembark the ship after an 18 day sailing on the MSC Divina I will leave you with my own personal review of this ship. Take it as a grain of salt like you would anyone’s review. We all have our own personal likes, dislikes, standards and personalities. Learn, get an idea and just go and have a great time on your vacation.
Ok onto my own thoughts.
EMBARKATION - ...
Sailing MSC makes you realize how some other lines really get it right. And what it's like when done wrong. The itinerary decided this try, and my brother in law sailed this very ship March 2023 for a short jaunt to ensure it was a good choice. He had a great 5 day Caribbean cruise so we were excited to try MSC for the first time on a special Christmas cruise.
SUMMARY: I hope your family ...
My husband and I just returned from our first cruise with MSC and we traveled with 10 other people who, also, have never cruised with MSC. Usually, we return home with great things to say about the cruise lines we experience, but this one is much different.
To start, before we ever left, we made several phone calls to inquire/clarify about general information ranging from vaccinations, curling ...
The internet was terrible and expensive. We had to get several visas, but few were actually needed. For example, we had to have a visa to South Korea to board the ship, but later we found that no one needed a visa to SK. MSC will not give me a refund for the unnecessary visa. We paid for a larger room that did not exist on that ship, with no refund in sight. Food was decent, but not great. Rooms ...
Chose mostly for low price. But ship was really substandard from the start. No soap in bathroom dispenser , no washcloths, 2 towels for 3 people. We called twice in 2 hours, since we wanted to shower before going to dinner. Wound up eating in sweaty shorts since towels and soap kept not coming. No outlets by bed, so you can't charge your phone while reading yourself to sleep or answering emails. ...
This was our 2nd MSC cruise. We were on Seaside in November 2019 in the Yacht Club and received future cruise credit when MSC canceled 2 ports without telling anyone prior to embarkation. The FCC and a great sale (Balcony for the price of an Inside) along with a great itinerary made this cruise attractive. A couple of months before sailing I was checking if excursions were up (they didn't get ...
Was a group booking. Ship was NOT Wheelchair friendly . No automatic doors. No ramps to pool area. Had a few tables at the buffet that were reserved for wheelchairs only but never enforced. Most of the staff and crew looked like they came from a funeral. Overseas guests very rude. Food was bland to mediocre. No lobster night, except at extra cost, 3 course meals only. My wife asked for soup and ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. It was the first time cruising with MSC.
Embarkation was excellent. We were on the ship in about 1/2 an hour.
We paid extra for the Fantastica experience. This allowed us a higher level cabin, wifi ( limited but it was perfect for us), and unlimited beverages costing $6 or less. The beverage package was just fantastic and saved up tons of ...
We chose this cruise because of the ports offered. On being to Panama. Thai was an 11 night cruise. The ship was elegantly decorated. The crew was not supportive at all. Room was that of other cruise lines. Lacing cabin clean. One perk I always enjoy is the towel animals offered on other cruise lines. Not here. If you are looking to rest and just enjoy the ports this is the cruise. there are few ...
We take cruises quite often, but this was a really disappointing trip. From just getting to the cruise ship we were sent to the wrong terminal as MSC didn't update the terminal on our tickets. We had to walk three terminals over with all of our luggage, then proceeded to wait in an hour long line just to go through one metal detector. Boarding the ship you are hearded with a huge crowd onto the ...
