Beautiful cruise from NY to Canada

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

Living in South Florida, we were ready to get away from the heat and travel to a cooler climate for a few days. Had cruised on MSC Divina and MSC Seaside, so decided to give the Meraviglia a try. We were not disappointed! The ship is just beautiful, and lovingly maintained. Officers and staff were very friendly and often visible. We had a balcony cabin and initially thought closet and storage ...

Best Cruise Ever

This was our 2nd MSC cruise, the first one being 5 years ago on the Divina. We are platinum on both Carnival and NCL. As a New Yorker, I was trilled when I found out MSC would be sailing out of the city. The entertainment on this ship was excellent. I'd say the talent was Broadway quality. Each night there were new shows in the theatre. There was also music in smaller venues for listening ...

We chose the cruise to see family in new York, Visit "beautiful" |||| New England and travel on a fantastic looking ship at what we thought a reasonable price. Embarkation wasnt too bad considering the number of people but disembarcation horrendous. I dont know if it was better if you had pre booked one of their final destination tours or their airport transport but as our travel agent had ...

Just a note: I can't seem to select just the 10-day portion, we couldn't do the 23 day due to job/time restrictions. MSC Meraviglia Review: 18 Oct 2019 – 28 Oct 2019 Passengers: me (CH), my husband (BH), and our adult daughter (SH). DH saw TV commercial and was intrigued. I booked this sailing in early 2018 for the yacht club deluxe suite at an unbelievably great price. The Ship is beautiful and the crew is fabulous, not just in yacht club but everywhere on the ship. Our cabin was spacious and very clean. I know food is subjective but I mainly chose seafood entrees which were better than meat which DH frequently chose. ...

Not the best cruise I have been on with MSC

I have sailed on MSC Seaside twice before and really enjoyed everything about it. So I decided to sail on Meraviglia. There were confusing issues constantly. I registered as a gluten free passenger but that was not on their list. I booked the cruise 2 years ago while onboard Seaside but nothing I signed up for showed on their reservations. Seaside had lots of great options for eating but ...

Great Cruise

We were waiting for MSC to cruise out of NYC. We were sick of RCCL Anthem of the Seas, and don't cruise on Carnival or Norwegian. Embarkation was quick. The staterooms were ready fairly early and our luggage arrived to the room fairly early as well. We had a balcony on Deck 10. It was one of the smallest balconies we have ever had on a cruise, but since we were going to Canada, we didn't use ...

Introduction: MSC Cruise Line is a new entrant to an American market. MSC is a registered company in Switzerland but operates from Geneva, Italy. The company was originally founded in Naples, Italy as Mediterranean Shipping Company (that gives them their current name). MSC appears to be diversifying in the cruise market from its original business of shipping. The company is privately held. ...

MSC Yacht Club is not equal to a luxury cruise line.

We just returned from the October 8 trip on the Meraviglia to Canada from New York. We were in the Yacht Club so I am comparing this to other luxury cruises I have been on such as Silversea or Crystal. As has been said the embarkation process was very poor. There was no YC luggage drop off nor did anybody know there was a YC area however there was and we found it by pure chance. We checked ...

Better after onboard

The new ship and the ports are the two points that had us booking The confusion to get onboard was discouraging, but after that, it was great Perhaps it was because it was the first sailing out of NY. Perhaps it was the crowd. Perhaps it was poor organization. There was no priority boarding when we arrived. We were in line over 3 hours. Fortunately , I was able to keep friends informed and ...
