This was my first cruise on MSC, so I wasn't sure what to expect especially since their website is not user friendly and very slow. I was pleasantly surprised though! I was booked on this cruise plus the 2/24/20 sailing as a B2B. Embarkation was fast and efficient. I was on board by 12PM. I started exploring the ship and made my way to Deck 11 for lunch. The
Buffet was crowded, but I joined a ...
I knew going in that this "last minute" deal, on this ship likely was not going to be the best cruise I'd ever been on. The old saying "you get what you pay for" held true in this instance. The cruise did give me some sun and relaxation at a low price which is what I signed up for, and it included a very pleasant surprise in MCS' private island. I wish, I had another day to relax on that ...
MSC Armonia review
Each person that cruises will have their own set of criteria for evaluating a cruise. Complaints by some are rejected by others. I accept that. Having been fortunate enough to have traveled on many cruises across several cruise lines, I will do my best to be objective.
Overall MSC is a very successful company for cargo transport that has expanded into the passenger cruise ...
I choose this cruise as friends of mine talked me into tagging along. It was my first cruise with MSC.
The ship is an older ship and small compared to the more modern mega ships. I prefer a smaller ship anyway. For her age the crew takes very good care of her. Only one complaint. The windows need to be cleaned more often.
I preferred to eat eat at the buffet. There was a good ...
This was our 15th cruise. First time with MSC. Won't be the last. There were good and back things. But overall a wonderful time and great value!
Pros: Staff were all wonderful. The welcome back parties at the ports were very nice extra. Our servers in Waves, Martin and Hasel were attentive and gave great service. The ship was absolutely stunning. Loved the Swarovski crystal staircase. ...
We chose Meraviglia because it's a newer ship. We were not disappointed. We have been on 59 cruises and this is the most beautiful ship we have been on. It had wonderful production shows every night and a matinee performance of "Boheme". Each night as you walked around the ship, the music was everywhere, such a party atmosphere ! The food in the dining room was good, not great, but I did not ...
Travelled with family. Ship was beautiful. As embarking we were hounded by in-your-face sales/photo people. This continued throughout ship. Very annoying! Cabin very clean. Compliments to room cleaning crew. Seated dining was terrible, being rushed thru dinner for 2 other later seatings. Staff was pressed to get food served. Food mediocre. Pasta portions too small. Buffet crowded and people ...
This is a very pretty ship but I am afraid that didn;t make up for the bad service.
We were a girlie group (3 sisters and my daughter) holding a reunion to celebrate two birthdays. Two of us came from UK to meet the ship and two from USA. Our party included a Business Manager, a Lawyer, an Travel Agent and a Diamond Class Cruise Queen! So we were not naive with our expectations.
The ...
This was my first and last time cruising with MSC. I travelled with my sister, and we were both super excited to try a new cruise line. We had an “Aurea” balcony room. I’m not very hard to please, and the room was ok despite having no storage space besides the closet. The first night on the ship the hot water went out, and was not fixed until the first stop at port over 24 hours later. After a ...
Room: Dirty. I found pills under the bed, nuts on the floor and a friend found hair stuck on balcony railing.
Food: Bad. Their 'lobster ravioli' tastes exactly like canned dog food. I can literally say this because I tasted it once on a bet. Rest of the food was mediocre. There were a few decent things in the cafeteria buffet, but few and far between.
Misc.: Didn't have water for 2 days, ...
