Overcrowded ship

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Armonia

Things they don’t tell you: No complimentary tea/coffee after dinner. You will have to pay extra for luxury food (e.g. lobster) on formal nights. You will have to share a table if you go into the Marco Polo Restaurant for breakfast or lunch i.e. no tables for two. No free ice cream in the buffet If you are English on a Mediterranean cruise, it is likely your shore excursion will be ...

It was our first cruise, we are family of 2 adults and 2 childrens, we decided to take this cruise because it is a new ship and it was look fantastic on the web, when we booked it back in June 2017 there was no reviews yet. We read the reviews only a few days before our cruise and saw many bad reviews so we went with very low expectations... On the cruise we found many reviews were really ...

Bad experience for a luxury ship

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

We expected a better experience having been on other cruises such as Royal Carribean and Celebrity... Entertainment was so so, lots of passengers with nothing to do in the evening except stroll in the main inside concourse... The number of seats inside is very limited for the total number of passengers who would be inside when weather is bad. One's only option is to stroll and keep on walking ...

Very disappointed about MSC Meraviglia

It was my 6th Cruise with MSC. Have earlier tried cruising with Orchestra, Poesia, Divina and Preziosa. Was good and value for money. Now should I try the new one. Meraviglia. Balcony cabin was nice. Breakfast and lunch in the Markedplace buffet was ok. Could also go to the restaurant in the ship and get it a la carde, but in the evening I was forced to go to the Markedplace restaurant. No ...

Lots of room for improvement

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

The ports are fantastic even though the ship was a huge let down the locations you stop at are perfect. The kids did really enjoy the water park which was a big factor in us choosing this ship. Unlike a lot of reviews about how bad the service was, we had great service except at the bars where the bar safe looked like they hated there job. If you like food don't choose the ship I couldn't wait ...

Dissappointing

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Preziosa

I have done serveral cruises and this one is definately the worst which is a shame as it is a beautiful ship. General comments are: Staff appeared tired and over worked. A number of them bordered on being rude and disinterested. It really appeared like most people didn't want to be there. In saying that our room attendant and main dining room waiter were very attentive and helpful but ...

I do have to give myself kudos for my logistical planning as far as arriving at the port and getting back home but our experience on board the Armonia was AWFUL. I read as much info/fine print as I could about the cruise and this ship but was sure that the bad reviews weren't accurate; I was wrong and wish I had saved our money to do a Disney cruise instead. Children are free to stay and it ...

This was our first cruise with MSC and sadly will be our last.  Getting on the ship was easy, the room was good a bit small but alright for a week. The food was excellent quality but a bit samey but then they cannot just pop out to the shops. The waiter in our restaurant was brilliant. The Entertainment was the best we have ever seen on a cruise ship, the bar staff were good but some would rather ...

Yacht Club good but............

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Splendida

We travelled on MSC Splendida with our daughter and her partner. It was their first cruise and the itinerary was good. We fancied being spoilt for a week without worrying about a large bar bill at the end of the holiday so we chose to travel in the Yacht club. The trip to Marseille was good, as was the Holiday Inn Express near the station. The cruise port is a long way from the centre of town so ...

Horrible Cruise Line MSC Splendida

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Splendida

Reception Unlike the Royal Caribbean, the reception at the MSC was so cold. People here had a straight face and checked us in as if they were doing us a favor. As soon as we checked in, we were told to proceed to another counter where a person with a very stern face pointed a finger towards some papers, they were promoting packages. I asked them If I could see it after I have gone into my ...
