Okay for the money.

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

I signed up before I had read the reviews. If you want a great itinerary on for a cheap price MSC Meraviglia is a good deal. However, expect to get nickel and dimed to death. They even make you pay for water in the dining room. In your room the only TV channels are news or ship information and sales. Movies on the TV cost 8 euros. There is nothing to do on the ship that doesn't cost. But when you ...

I wanted to try MSC but had not read many reviews. This was a new ship (sailed Nov 2017), and the itenirary was right. We booked a balcony aurea. Room was tipical of cruise ships, shower was better due to glass door. Closet space was the smallest we have encountered. We dont stay in cabin to much so it was OK. Food was ok but not excellent, except sweets which we thought were the best part ...

We chose MSC and this particular cruise because the itinerary Ports of call, suited the half term break for the UK Schools, we booked an Air Cruise, so MSC booked our flights on British Airways, the downside of this, is our flights were booked on a group ticket, therefore, you cannot check in independently on BA website, on day of departure, early morning flight from LHR, we got shunted around ...

Don't listen to all the negatives

after reading mostly bad reviews before we sailed on this ship we were a bit concerned especially regarding the food , however although food did not come up to the standard and choice of our previous cruises on NCL, there was always something tasty to eat in the buffet and the main restaurant. Portions were small in main restaurant as mentioned in other reviews , but all you have to do is order as ...

MSC Splendida We stayed on the MSC Splendida for one week! The experiences was from positive through to negative. The negative feeling after the trip unfortunately prevailed: it was our first and last cruise and we could not wait to leave the ship at the end. In general: The Splendida is an imposing and beautiful ship, which has a lot to offer. It appears neat and clean. It was also ...

Embarkation: A brief summary, the most chaotic, disorganised shambles of an embarkation process we’ve ever encountered. After much queuing, observing lots of gesticulation, lots of shouting and tempers getting frayed we eventually made it on board. The Ship: The ship is very impressive from the outside and that impression continues inside. We had a balcony cabin which was spacious, very ...

12 Day Mediterranean cruise

We choose this cruise due itinerary and price. I little hesitant in booking with MSC due to mostly bad reviews and decided to try anyway. My rating is based on comparable cruise lines we have been on: Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. Ship is well kept and clean. Most passengers were Europeans with majority from France and Germany. We met people from Canada, Australia, Spain and ...

Embarked in Barcelona. All well and organised. Once on board we noticed that we were all seated at different dining tables (we were 3 cabins traveling together with linked reservations). This problem could not be solved until the next day, so, we had dinner in the Buffet restaurant and that went well. Food was fine. Bit crowded - but - with 6000 + passengers it is to be expected. 2nd Night we ...

Wonderful ship, wrong cruise

The only good thing about this experience was the ship, the food is horrible, they nickel and dime you Cabin is extremely small. Not enough space for storage even just two persons. Our friend with four family members had a same size cabin. Keep in mind, the crew ration of this new ship is 3.8-3.9. While the other cruise lines keeps crew ration around 2.8-3.0. , room was small could not fit cloths ...

We sailed on the Splendida last September and loved everything which is why we booked again. Everything was pretty much the same except for the food. On our last cruise there were 7 courses each night and generous portions as well as delicious choices. This time it was only 3 courses and they were small. There was one gala night but still only 3 courses so not sure what made it a gala night. We ...
