When we booked the cruise (family of 2 adults and 2 Young kids) there were no reviews, since it was a brand-new ship. A month before our trip we read reviews from all over the web and we got concerned. The following is our point of view all though we came with very low expectation: The good: It is a new ship which most of the ship is beautiful and clean ! Security is good and ...

Wonderful itinerary...beautiful ship...SERVICE WAS DISGRACEFUL....never want to sail on any of the MSC ships again. Food was horrible...Bar service was disgusting....dinner was a nightmare....no water, no coffee or tea with dinner. An arguement nightly in the dining room. Tried to speak with Guest Services and repeatedly was told this is not the way things are done in Europe....although we are an ...

Nice boat, could compare in some points to NCL and RC but............ lack of staff , no choice with food. Buffet is mainly composed of pizza and pasta and closed at 4PM , so when we were coming back from shore excursion there was only pizza, hamburger and Hot dog to eat. The Staff is working hard but can't keep up with the demand. Wait for the pizza to be ready, wait for food wait... wait... . ...

We chose this cruise as it suited our dates and the destinations sounded nice, Marseilles, Mallorca, Ibiza, etc. Genoa was our embarkation point. We arrived late and stressed due to a flight delay at Stansted airport. Our group was all English speaking, two adults and two teenagers. This was my first cruise and we booked in March for July. There were no balcony cabins left so we opted for a cabin ...

MSC Worst Cruise Line

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

The worst service I've ever seen on a cruise. Crew member Threw things from a cot in the pool and the head of the deck instead of helping or solving the problem answer with very bad manners and I generate a bigger problem. In the bufett they remove the meal even if you are serving a dish because they close. They charge absolutely everything, even the things that in most cruises are included ...

Lovely ship but turned in to an overcrowded all inclusive resort

A beautiful ship with lots of activities, restaurants, bars, swimming pools, top- cirque du soleil entertainment in a custommade theatre, nice promenade, very hard working staff BUT this ship is overcrowded during holidays, openinghours of restaurants and buffets are too short and pre-cruise booked excursions and shows has to be reconfirmed aboard, so expect to spent a half-day waiting in lines ...

A disappointment all around

Embarkation and disembarkation went surprisingly smoothly. Cabin was adequate but we couldn't enjoy balcony due to chain smokers on next balcony. Unfortunate because husband got quite ill with bronchitis and URI and were quarantined on day 6. MSC says smoking isn't tolerated on balconies but maids apparently missed clue of ash tray on balcony. Bed was comfortable. Food was below average. ...

Have been on 8+ cruises and travelled on other cruise lines before (NCL, Holland America, Carnival, and Celebrity). Tried MSC based on itinerary and time available. Had read mixed reviews, but thought to give it a try. Cabin: PRO - nice, clean, comfortable CON - shower stall was very small, even for a small/regular sized person Entertainment: PRO - great light shows, good singers, ...

We picked this cruise on itinerary. When we got on board we felt like we were on a cruise in 1975. The ship was very very dated and drab. The staff were very unfriendly and were tired and pretty grumpy. There were some Balinese staff that were nice. We were shocked each time at port returning to the ship we couldn't even get a hello or smile from the staff. The ramp up to the ship was very old ...

This cruise was chosen purely for the itinerary,it was the only one with any cruise line that called at the ports that we wanted. We had cruised with MSC before and we said then NEVER AGAIN but relented due to the the places visited. This time it is definitely NEVER AGAIN. The crew were helpful and attentive but at busy times the numbers of waiters and bar staff was totally inadequate. The ...
