Embarkation was very smooth. We did have the Aurea Package which meant we basically just walked right on. We waited till noon to get to the port and we were on the ship within 30 mins of being dropped off by the taxi. Our cabin was amazing we had the duxplex suite. The layout was great. We were upstairs so my husband and I had privacy but we were never more than an earshot from our young ...

This is not going to be long winded but I feel the need to voice my opinion which is absolutely POSITIVE...not always shared by MSC cruisers on CC. How you rate your cruise often depends on expectations and attitude to dealing with any shortfall. You choose your cruise, you pay for it, you pack, you go. Remember though to have a good time and this is impossible if you are going to grumble ...

MSC - Nothing to be scared of!

This was our 38th cruise, but first on MSC. It offered tremendous value for money, a good itinerary and an escape from the cold British weather. We sailed from Genoa, Italy to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, spending 2 days in Genoa at the outset and four days in Rio before flying home. We visited Portofino under our own steam together with a trip on a narrow gauge railway prior to sailing and did ...

Intriqued by the Mediterranean itinerary, the Yacht Club ship-within-a-ship, the bargain pricing AND the program that matched our Princess loyalty status, we couldn't be happier with our experiment. We have already booked the new MSC Bellissima for the same itinerary in 2019. Highlights? *absolutely gorgeous and easy to navigate ship that is downright lively with great shops, parties and ...

Cruise of a lifetime!

This was the best itinerary for the time of the year for us. The best part was unpacking once, and our floating 5 Star Hotel followed us around the Mediterranean as we departed Genoa, and visited the most amazing places, including Marseilles. Barcelona, Malta, Crete, Corfu Greece and Rome! The food, was consistently excellent; and I certainly recommend the option of having your breakfast ...

We chose this particular cruise as it was the one that best suited our time frame. Not too short but just long enough to get what was needed. We planned a two day hotel stay beforehand in Barcelona (this turned out to be one day due to flight cancellation). That being said we found a little gem of a hotel (Wilson's boutique hotel). The hotel was great, shaped like the Flatiron building in NYC. ...

Meraviglia; review of a cruise in the Yacht Club

MERAVIGLIA WESTERN MED CRUISE Sept 24th - Oct 1st 2017 Choice of Itinerary The itinerary was not the main driver for this cruise, but rather the ship itself was the main focus of the cruise. I booked the cruise in July 2015, a full 27 months in advance, before any steel had been cut or section of the ship built. In July 2015 MSC decided to revamp their loyalty scheme, in which I was a ...

Excellent cruise at a great value

We got the Fantastica experience that included 12 drinks per passenger. Even though it was in MSC's computer system, we did not get the drink vouchers as we embarked. For one reason or another the reception staff couldn't take care of the issue right away and we had to make 3 trips to the reception desk. However, that was the only issue we had. Ship: It was immaculate. Very beautiful. ...

gluten free cruise

Last summer kids, husband and I went back to the cruiser MSC company just for certified gluten free food. Children and I have celiac disease, and it is very important to eat strictly gluten-free foods. At MSC Meraviglia, similar to the previous MSC Preciosa, the gluten free food is great but unfortunately only available in the main restaurant. One morning we slept and late for breakfast ...
