Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Magnifica

I wanted to experience the mediterranean without having to move from hotel to hotel so I thought a cruise would be a great alternative when travelling alone. I was apprehensive to say the least after reading what other people had written in their reviews. The flights were long but reasonable (I flew Etihad). I had 3 nights in Genoa before embarking the Magnifica staying at the Grand Savoia ...

Pros: - The itinerary was great. Genoa, Barcelona, Morocco, Tenerife, Madeira, Malaga and Rome. - The ship was clean - The price was affordable - The kids had fun at the pool - Shore excursion in Rome was great - The spa was nice Cons: - The housekeeping services were basic. Other cruise lines we have used do special things for housekeeping rather than just making up the ...

We chose this ship and iternary because of our grandkids spring vacation taking place the first week of April and our desire to expose the three girls, ages 17, 15 and 10 to Europe and Italy. We also like the fact that it went to four different countries and three of our favorite ports, Rome, Venice and Corfu. We found the food to be very average, the service average and the ship had some good ...

Chose this cruise as I particularly wanted to sail into Valetta. Have sailed with MSC before. This time boarding took over 2 hours in Genoa. I met people who said they had taken 4. This meant the cabin was ready as soon as we boarded. I had booked a table for two at dinner and as always we were on a table for 8. This was an anniversary cruise and a rare opportunity for my wife and I to spend time ...

Overall the cruise was good. This was our 3rd MSC cruise and the first on a mid sized ship. Previous cruises were on the larger ships. Basically runs just like the bigger ones with the slightly smaller space not really noticeable .My only small complaint and it was a common comment with the others in our group was the way the dining room meals for breakfast and lunch were run. Part of your meal ...

Not having too many cruise lines to chose from, for January, we picked MSC for the itinerary. We read reviews, good and bad, and thought we would go for it, as this would be the last time cruising in the Mediterranean. We were presently surprised. The decor was calming to the eyes, not as some said gaudy. The crew were pleasant although there was a couple of senior officers a bit " stuffy" ...

We choose this ship due to the price being very competitive, and booked for 3 people as we took our 20 year old grandson with us, we booked without reading any reviews and only started to read them after we had booked the trip, We were horrified by some of the reviews people saying you had to buy tea and water and even about a hotel charge, So to put the record straight you could get tea ,coffee ...
