MSC Preziosa

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Preziosa

Just returned from 1 week cruise MSC Preziosa in the Mediteranean. The ship was fabulous, lots of restaurants, bars and entertainment. You had to pay for a few restaurants onboard, but the rest where free. They didn't dispay any prices outside of the Pay restaurants , but you could go in and ask to see the price list. The entertainment was wonderful, both in the theatre and the main ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Opera

We cruised with our 9-year old daughter, who is disabled. Our embarkation in Genoa was very smooth, with no queues and a relaxed atmosphere. We embarked at about 2.30pm and went straight up to our cabin - a balcony suite on deck 12. We were pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness of the cabin and especially the bathroom, which had a bath tub as well as a shower. There was plenty of storage ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Preziosa

The MSC Preziosa is one of the 4 large ships in the MSC Fleet. As this site says, I found out that originally as a ship ordered by the Gadaffi Regime in Libya by his son which was to include a huge shark aquarium etc!! After the downfall of Gadaffi, MSC bought it and created the MSC Preziosa. I was on the Maiden Voyage in the Med. First time I had been on MSC Cruises and was worried that the ...

Second time with MSC, there'll be a third

Our second cruise with MSC, and first on the Preziosa (obviously!). We have also cruised with Royal Caribbean, NCL & Carnival. We choose MSC because of the very reasonable prices and unusual itineraries. This was our first inaugural voyage so we were expecting some hiccups, but all in all things went smoothly and we were very impressed with the Preziosa. Embarkation/leaving the ship ...

I found it hard before I left for my cruise on the MSC Splendida to find real reviews which covered many of my questions for the ship itself, which I will try to answer here to help others. I arrived at genoa port in February this year for my cruise of the ship, arriving at the dock you are taken into a large room in which you just register and receive your cruise card, this can be very ...

This was our second 'relocation' cruise (the transfer of ships from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere for the summer and then vice versa in March / April); this time from Genoa to Cape Town and many exotic places in between. Last year we travelled on MSC Opera from Venice to Buenos Aires and had a similar experience. We both agreed that this year's cruise was even slightly better, ...

Right lets get straight to the point here! My party and I of experienced independent travellers have no complaints about our first ever cruise, but a number of observations that may be of use to others. We knew in advance it was an Italian cruise ship that would have a large mix of Europeans on board, in particular Italians, French, Dutch, Germans, Spanish etc and that we Brits would be in the ...

A great week on board MSC Splendida

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Splendida

My husband and I are both first time cruisers. We chose to book our cruise on MSC Splendida mainly because of the itinerary. We want some Mediterranean sunshine and Neither of us had previously visited Tunis, Malta or Sicily. These destinations sounded more inserting to us than some of those offered by the Royal Caribbean ships in the Mediterranean. Before we embarked we were quite nervous ...

Fantastic fun onboard MSC Fantasia

I had planned this vacation for over four months after a week long research into various cruising options. The deal that just came to my mail one day just tilted the scale in favor of MSC Fantasia. To say that I chose well will be an understatement. In fact after my limited experience on-board other cruising ships, MSC Fantasia was indeed beyond expectations. Here is why: I had read at least ...

A memorable experience

Beautifully designed inside, with great attention to detail & lots of comfortable & interesting places to relax, the ship is also very clean. A variety of live music is a feature of the cruise, so most people should find a bar to suit their taste. Two or three of the lounges, particularly L'Insolito, encourage dancing, & it's not too difficult, even at Easter, to avoid children. The ship is ...
