My wife and I greatly enjoyed this cruise. The most that caught our attention was the excellent treatment we received from all MSC Armonía employees. Kindness and courtesy since we entered through the doors. Especial mention to the waiters at Marco Polo Restaurant, Kosih and Renelyn, excellent service. In the service area of the room, Mr. Marion Garcia, far exceeded our expectations. The entertainment Kevin and Moises and their group are wonderful, original, dynamic. The shows at the Fenice Theater, compare with Circo de Soleil, or Brodway, incredible talents. The BR Beats band, wonderful, excellent musicians, and great singing. The cruise director Miguel and the captain (I don't remember the name) are high-class professionals. People who with honesty, respect and warmth make everyone, employees and clients feel like a family. The infrastructure of the ship requires remodeling. But the customer service, human warmth and love of its employees far outweigh that weakness of the ship. Read Less

My husband and I decided to book a very spontaneous trip on MSC Magnifica four days before the ship was to set sail through Expedia. We were coming from Boston, USA and took a non-stop flight to Rome, then a smaller flight to Bari, Italy where we embarked. We read some of the negative reviews (mostly about smoking on the ship and staff being rude) but decided to risk the trip anyway. We are so happy we did!! We found most of the criticisms of MSC and the crew to be completely inaccurate. From the moment we boarded, the staff, crew and bartenders were fantastic and very responsive to any of our needs. We did not have to wait very long for drinks, everyone was friendly to us and the ship was gorgeous. The cabin was ready when we arrived with our bags already in the room. The cabin was nicely furnished, very clean, comfortable bed and a beautiful room with a balcony. The dining in the main dining room at night wasn't my favorite. The food was good but nothing blew me away with flavor. If you are what we call in the states "a foodie", this is probably not the cruise for you. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was good, however. Very nice salad bar, hamburgers, french fries, pasta, homemade pizzas, rice, Thai dishes and lots of other choices. We went on the cruise for the Ports of calls and a spontaneous adventure. The dining portion and food were a low priority for us. The Activities on the crew were fun, we danced, had drinks at the cool bars, sat in the sun, and attended many of the Broadway-style shows. They were cute shows with skilled dancers and singers and a nice way to end the night. The thing we loved the most was the amazing ports of call. Every Greek island and/or city (Venice, Montenegro, Bari) was outstanding. Too much to write but a trip of a lifetime. Everything and more that we had hoped for. I highly recommend this cruise. The only small difficulties were lots of Europeans do smoke, but only outside. Not many people spoke English so we were a little isolated (but my husband found that to be a positive lol), the initial Embarkment was a 2.5 hour wait to get on board, and lines were a bit confusing in the buffet area for breakfast and lunch. I recommend going to the buffet right when it opens to avoid the frenzy. The only people I found to complain were the Americans who didn't have a lot of travel experience. Their expectations were too high for some of the places they visited off the ship. We understood that traveling to these ancient cities there would be lines and confusion since they are not equipped for the influx of thousands of tourists descending on their infrastructure at one time. Some of the ports of calls would have 5 cruise ships show up at one time letting 4,000 people off per ship. One last thing, I do believe you need to be average to good shape to walk around these ports of call. I am in good shape (45 year old female) and found it to be moderate to above moderate exercise to get around with lots of cobblestone walkways and uneven terrain. I was grateful my 80 year old parents decided not to attend the cruise with us as I don't think they would have had the energy to walk around. Overall I would rate this an excellent trip and would do it again with my family in a heartbeat. Read Less

I have only been on one other cruise, that was Carnival, so that is the only comparison I have. First, the good thing... The entertainment was great. The people in the show do a wonderful job. Most of the staff are nice enough. The ship is clean and beautiful. There are many nice pools and hot tubs, so they were not crowded (yet they close them all down early which is irritating). The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. The food in the buffet was just okay (deserts were good), better than Carnival, but the food in the dining room was much worse than carnival. And now I move on to the bad things... Eating in the dining room on Carnival was a great experience we looked forward to every night, but on MSC it felt like a punishment. Usually the food was not good and the waiters also made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted. They do not have "anytime dining" like other ships, you have to pick 6 PM, 8 PM or 10 PM. They kick you out after an hour or so to get ready for the next crowd. They are always rushing around in a hurry yet take forever to bring the food. We waited an hour for our first course one time, then had 15 minutes to eat the rest and get out. It is loud and there is constant banging from the dumbwaiter bringing down food. We asked to be switched to a different time and got a better waiter and location after the switch. I cannot believe they charge you for water in the dining room! Water was free on Carnival. Which is my next complaint, they are constantly after more money. They pester you all the time to buy the drink and food packages. The drink package would have cost $700 for the two of us ($40 a day). If you're drinking $700 in alcohol in one week you have a problem. We spent $80 on drinks, that's it. The food package would have cost around $260 for 3 meals for the two of us. That's seems high for mediocre food. The worst experience by far were the excursions! DO NOT book a tour. Have them bus you and walk around on your own. The tour company they use in Italy is a nightmare! We were not given all the things promised in Pisa and Rome. In Rome they lost an elderly man and left him there. Don't know if he ever made it back to the ship. I did not listen to the tour guides speak, they are hard to understand. Our English speaking guide hardly said anything anyway. The guides have deals with shops to take you there so you will buy things, like the "Pearl Factory" they said we needed a ticket to get into. It was a jewelry store! Nothing more, and it is free to go in. They wasted my time with this stuff. I felt very ripped off over the excursions. The internet was poor, and we had a router right outside our room. The zip-line cost $12 a person and is boring. It should be free! The constant up-selling is just a nightmare. We have decided not to go on MSC again because of these issues. Read Less

This was our second voyage on the seaside within the last year. MSC Cruise lines was kind enough to give us discount credits since we were on the divina during hurricane Irma. I didn't care where the ship was going, I live in South Florida and Hawaii so I get my full share of palm trees! The seaside is an absolutely beautiful ship and very very well kept. The staff has come to understanding how to work on that ship and things flow very nicely. The drink packages and Internet packages that are offered by the cruise line are hard to beat. Even the easy drink package which doesn't give you top shelf liquor will do the job and get you all the soda, quality coffees, and sparkling water that you want. The best part of the cruise for my wife and I were at the dance classes and activities. Every morning on sea days there was an aerobics class and several dance classes available all the way into the evening hours. Also a highlight are the production shows. They are not your typical production show song and dance popular songs. They are elaborately costumed events involving singing dancing music and circus. I would say it is similar to a Cirque du Soleil with a different theme every night. And there is the Opera, it is shown in the afternoon during a sea day so if you're one of those that wants to oil yourself up and be shoulder-to-shoulder with a thousand other people on the pool deck you are more than welcome. However if you want something totally different that is extremely emotional and beautiful, go to see the Opera. The only thing that was disappointing throughout the entire cruise was the dining experience. The marketplace buffet is absolutely boring. It reminded me of my days in the Navy seeing hamburgers hot dogs and Pizza with overcooked meats every day over and over. There was always a mystery white fish available and some sort of sauce but it was always hard as a rock and tasting just like one also. The experience in the restaurants was a bit better. The foods were served up timely and presentation was very nice, however there was nothing ever really exciting about it. There was never that food item that said "I want to try that"! All in all it was adequate and it was put together pretty well, but it was not really a memorable experience. Overall for the price point it is very difficult to beat the MSC experience. I would only hope that they would liven up the food venues a little bit more so that it isn't so boring. Read Less

Shopping areas, service was good, remember this was my first time in the cruise, inside the ship it was the same as i was in the mall, disco time, activities etc, i really enjoyed I never sleep because of rhe entertainments, i ate diffent fruits and fortunately i found my favourate water melon, and that was my favourite. But soft drinks were expensive. And i thought i will gain weight as people told me about food for everytime but i didnt because your food was healthy. Overall i rate Msc musica cruise excellent. I ended up on this cruise to celebrate my sister's 70th birthday. Young at heart, we wanted a cruise that suited our personalities. So with 25 adventurers ranging in age from 13 and up, MSC Seaside seemed perfect. Embarkation - It's a zoo. Imagine 5,000+ people trying to check-in. Our saving grace was the Aurea package (an upgrade). Trying to figure out where our check-in area was located was challenging. Once in line, a very nice young woman provided assistance. We returned to check-in three (3) times because our card didn't work. A non-walker's nightmare. Dining - The buffet, as one of our friends, said, "By the time you make it around the buffet to find what you want and get to your seat, your food is cold." Day 1: Try to get a soda from the pay as you go machine, good luck. Ridiculous. Sell drink cards like other ships. Organization of buffet, where is the jam? It's on the Wellness Bar. Where is the bread? It's next to desserts or sodas (depends). The staff working in the buffet area just stood around - no assistance unless you flagged someone. The staff in white uniforms - no purpose. The soda machine process, go figure. Evening dining -The dining room staff are unorganized. Try finding a waiter to take cocktail orders. The dining room show, yes we clapped for the staff but our waiters were working. Friendliness - No introductions, good morning, smile. What gives? I am a frequent cruiser, Princess, Viking, Royal Caribbean. This experience pales by comparison. The music, theatre shows, Aurea spa, and ship decor saved the day. Read Less

Firstly this was our first cruise so we have nothing to completely judge against, however the things I will talk about was our experience. On arrival onto the ship we we’re badgered by staff wanting us to sign up to a drinks package which we had already sorted pre arrival. This also didn’t stop for a couple of days. ( by all means assist customers but make staff be seen but have customers approach staff ) We also were constantly bugged by the staff photographers constantly asking if we wanted our picture taken and even after a polite no they then pleaded ‘it will only take a few minutes ‘ whilst following us. My polite no’s were beginning to wear very thin towards the end. To add insult to injury the one time we gave in, we were then automatically charged £34.99 to our card before even seeing them. From the reception they told me it was down to me to say I didn’t want them to have the charge removed. So I was glad to keep an eye on my account on my tv in my cabin. Otherwise it would have been a shock on leaving. ( may be better for customers to say yes before charging). Each place we docked at we were badgered if we wanted taxi or sight seeing bus. All were stupid prices and you can do so much better sourcing your own public transport at great prices.... it got tiresome as they wouldn’t take no as an answer. I feel msc security/ dock security should monitor this and actively reduce this annoyance. Now the ship is an absolute beautiful design. Really took our breath away. The mid ship sky screen shows and displays were very good. The shows onboard were very very good and thoughly entertaining. And at 30 mins I feel it was too short but understand with time restrictions for the program it has to be that way. I had no issues with my premium drinks package and recommend this is purchased. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant and had no bad experiences in the dining room with food or waiting staff. The cabin ( we had a balcony) was a nice size and I would say it was a slightly smaller than the average Travelodge room but pretty much the same layout. Tv channels were slightly limited ( but who comes on holiday to watch tv ). The safe is quite tiny and we couldn’t put our iPads in it. But it was simple to use. The Bed was very comfortable with two pillows. Balcony size ok. Mini bar idea not so good. .... it is not covered on the drinks package. I think to enjoy the balcony it would be good to use from mini bar to save having to go to the bar for purchasing drinks to carry back. Most drinks in there can be from the bar anyway. ( just saves borrowing and restocking ourselves the next day early). The spa is amazing and well worth the visit. Spent most days in there for a couple of hours recovering from our days walking. However on the sea day it got very busy. Maybe it would be good if msc only allowed the package deal only people to access on sea days and offer no day pass. ( could earn more money for them and balance the numbers out for spa visitors). With the numerous relaxation areas jacuzzis and steam/ sauna rooms and ice room. Not forgetting the emotional showers there are plenty of places to relax and rest. Never gambled before and the casino was an awesome experience. Staff very friendly and when it was quiet we asked how to use tables and all was explained very well. There are serious gamblers there, and people like us who had fun with between 10-30 Euros per visit. We actually visited most nights and actually walked away with more Euro’s than we started with. The water slides were fun to use, and the pools were relaxing. And the external hot tubs on the deck were very nice also. Anyone in two minds about first time cruising, I think the ship will give you the experience that will help decide if it’s for you. And as for us......... we will stick with msc and look out for more locations this ship will visit and try out the other ships in the fleet. We have been converted to a life of cruising for sure. To start, I would be consider myself a cruise junkie. I booked this cruise for the Cuban experience. Cuba was what I expected. Something of a visit back in time. Just a caveat, everyone seam to have a different opinion than me. Most travelers I spoke with seem to like Cuba. I didn't like nor dislike Cuba. Cuba was indeed different. I would consider myself someone who appreciate differences in cultures so the fact that it was different in many ways was enough for me to conjure up enough enjoyment to give it a passing grade. Cuba doesn't take the dollar nor do they accept credit cards. It has two types of currencies with two different values. As for the Armonia. I booked room 1106, This is a suite on the 10th deck. The first thing I noticed was if had an an obstructed view which was not advertised when I selected the room. The balcony does not have a functional handle to re open the sliding door once out on the the balcony. My wife had to leave the door partially open so she could get back into the room. I took two excursions. The dune buggy (Roatan, Honduras) tour which advertised "two" to a buggy. At the excursion we were told the excursion was oversold and 4 had to share 1 buggy. I conceded. The next day was a classic car tour "Cuba". The excursion advertise 3 to a car maximum. We were told at the start of the tour 4 had to share a car. The one absolute negative was the experience I had in the bar made so famous by Ernst Hemmingway. It was overcrowded and no regard to fire codes. I spent approximately 5 minutes in the bar and MSC tours kept bringing tourist in. It wasn't safe. I suppose MSC sanction these excursions and wonder if the're aware what their subjecting their passengers to. I didn't confront MSC staff about the issues. I simply relented. Again most the passengers seem to enjoy the overall experience. My enjoy came from the wonderful staff working so hard for my enjoyment. Read Less

First the ship is beautiful. The cruise critic event was amazing might have been our best ever. During that event we were shown a presentation. That the msc seaside was designed especially for miami and that is was family owned and they wanted to treat you like family. We also matched from royal caribbean from diamond plus to gold. Which added not much value a drink package that was supposedly free however there was a surcharge on every drink. There was enough people from 6 different countries that each announcement had to be made in 6 different countries. The only time i have had that happen is in the mediterranean. So you felt like you were in europe. Dining staff took you order and brought no conversation. First night it took 45 minutes to get appetizers. We were giving the wrong food from someone several times. The dining room itself is a european open style which amplify the noise level so much so that you can hardly hear across the table.we wanted wine from our drink package however on the third night; we were told they had ran out and if we wanted wine it was an additional charge. But they had the wine in the specialty dining. We bought the specialty dining package which we told there was a savings. There was no savings at all. Plus if you wanted regular coffee with your dinner it was an additional cost. The bar service you had to request the bartender to come over to take your order. There was no bar service asking how can i help. We tried almost every bar on the ship and it was the same. Plus one bar had no coke zero or spirit zero and we were told there was none on the ship, yet you could walk to the next bar and they had. This include beers, wines and alcohols. We meet some several people that had wonderful time after the cruise. But they all had several things alike, yacht club, black card and max drink package. Msc has a special area and dining for yacht club and black card members. We asked and none of these people ate in the in dining room. Plus we only meet 2 other couples that spoke english on the whole cruise. Out of the 52 cruises i have been on this one ranked 51st.if you like to walk there is no walking track and the gym is tiny. Lines for the tread mills were long. Msc allows and it seems they encourage marking of lounge chairs by the pools. People were out at 5am marking chairs. We were looking for the walking track. I would not recommend msc seaside unless you can afford a suite for the yacht club and max drink package.last if you are disabled, we saw several that the doors are not wide enough to get there wheel chairs in. Highlights I chose MSC because ever since I have started every time i become more crazier to take a cruise. This was my third time because I love the atmosphere, I love the hospitality and I just love being part of this family because everything is being done on professionally and efficiently on board. I should really say Musica is indeed a beautiful baby. Spacious cabins and very attractive scenery. Embarkation was a little longer but there was a valid reason which was a a result of load shedding which was beyond anybody's control. Otherwise the excitement killed the thought and waiting was no problem. From my previous experience there is normally no problem as far as that is concerned. It was only when we came back that I noticed somebody not being happy about her luggage because she could not find it. It was a little odd as I never heard of that ever since i started boarding the ship. Maybe there should be a checking point where security checks that people do take the luggage that truly belongs to them. The lady was causing an unnecessary scene drawing attention. Thank you for serving food that makes one to yen for more. The food is being served with love. Thank your kitchen team for looking after us. It is by choice to eat unhealthy but you surely do cater for everybody to eat a healthy meal. The plays are always exquisite. Thank you very much entertainment team you were just wonderful. Your costumes are always out of the world and everything becomes real. One of my highlight is this that I got to dance with one of the officials and that made my cruise the most enjoyable. Chilling around the pool more especially when there are activities is also most enjoyable experience. I love being on the Portuguese island. I love the water as well as the atmosphere around the island. It is more accommodating. The setup as well as the moving around all the activities are people friendly. Please make some improvements at Pomene as well or rather bring back the excursion of going into Maputo and cancel Pomene. I personally did not find the place enjoyable. The hot sand is unbearable, the limited space makes it very unpleasant for the people who came later and did not have any shelter to be under. The footpath leading to the beach could be at least outlined properly with wood material or so. Please take this matter seriously as it really was a low light as far as the excursions are concerned. Thank you very much for the great time that we had on the ship. The service from the people cleaning the cabins as well as the the waiters, not forgetting the personnel you meet around the ship who always are willing to help. How can I forget the teachers who so wonderfully look after our children and make their time a memorable. That gives mummy and daddy ample time to enjoy being on the ship without any hassles. My grandson was always reminding us not to forget that it is time for him to be dropped off. This is a lifetime experience as it really awakens the child in me. I would never miss an opportunity to go on a cruise. I intend cruising at the end of December to Mauritius and will share that with my sister. Read Less

We sailed on MSC Divina because we got got a bargain and to entice us we were "matched" to the level on NCL/Carnival, we found the ship to be nicely designed, our cabin was comfortable and the amount of amenities and dinning was plentiful, we were hesitant because people's reviews had made it seem like there was too much pasta on the menus, we found the opposite, the food was very tasty and the selections was great, they still need to work out a few kinks, in the black crab restaurant ( where we were assigned ) we had to wait for our coffee to accompany our desserts, but it seems like every cruise line is cutting staff and you don't get quite the prompt service that we expect. The itinerary was wonderful too, going to shore and coming back into the ship was painless and we loved the fact that the ship stayed longer in ports than most cruises we have taken, that was nice surprised. Another pleasant surprise was the entertainment in the theater, we enjoyed all of the shows, they did an amazing job and would certainly would do another MSC Cruise. Read Less

My mum booked this cruise for us to celebrate her 60th birthday she did it through cruise club I believe which included a chartered flight from gatwick. From check in to embrakation everything was done and arranged for us. We just showed up and followed the crowd and first first time cruisers I would highly recommend this. It took the stress out of everything; all transport was ready and waiting for us when we go off the flight and our luggage was delivered to our rooms. I'm 25 and mum is 60 this year and I can say the Preziosa does caters for all ages. From a baby care centre to a toddlers water park; a teenagers gaming room and entertainment for young to old adults there is something for everyone. The ship is huge and there is plenty to do and differently environments to explore. From the calm and relaxing garden pool to the fun and interactive main pool. The massive and varied buffet to the more up scale dining experince of the golden lobster. From the relaxing spa to the modern gym. And then there is the night life there is so much to do and not enough time to do it all!!! The ships facilities are just fanatic and that was the general consensus from old and new cruisers was that th ship was beautiful and expansive. The bars and lounges are stunning and have so much entertainment included from performances, tributes and dancing!! There was also the Casiono to play at or the Galaxy disco to party at into the early hours of the night. There was also a selection of shows to watch which were amazing however mostly dancing and singing due to the fact any spoken act may be lost due to the language barrier. I loved that there were many languages and nationalities aboard however some of the other English guests didn't like it so much especially if they had been aboard other English or a arrival owner ships. I have to give a special mention of the animation team and dance instructors; they were just fantastic I felt so welcomed and included even if mother had gone to bed early and I wanted to dance the night away! There was always someone to talk to or to dance with in the Green Sax or performance and dancing to enjoy in the safari lounge. The entertainment team also provided afternoon activities and trivia by the pool from 3/4pm everyday as well as free fitness and dance classes. All of the staff aboard the Preziosa were so poliet, helpful and always had a friendly smile to offer. The dress code was pretty casual though I did dress in going out dresses every night for diner and dancing because I don't get to do that very often at home as I work in the evening. And though there were many causally dressed people I did not feel out of place or too dressed up at all. There are also a few themed nights including a tropical party and gala night where the entertainment teams are dressed accordingly and host different events around the ship including on the deck in the warm evening air and under the stairs. Other facilities that we used were the Spa where my mother and I both got candle massage; which was just wonderful. One of the best massages I've ever had and was persuaded to have another one. They were done by a Indonesian woman who had amazing skills. We also bought the digital package and so took full advantage of the photographers on board every night. It felt a bit posey and if your shy is maybe not for you but your see plenty of other people getting them done and I have some wonderful and beautiful shots that I love. As for the food and drinks I was amazed at the options and variety; in the buffet there was everything from pizza, chips and burgers to oriental. There are also always heathly options available which were very tasty. The other bit I loved was the dessert section which always had something delicious on! The food in the golden lobster was also lovely there was plenty of options every night and didn't have the same menu twice whilst on board. There was only one night that the whole table wasn't fussed with limited options but most nights we struggled to choose. A few of the nights we ended up being served the one we ordered and the one we didn't chose by the waiting staff just to try them. Fantastic service as well as great food. When talking to other guests the reviews about the food were mixed. Apparently it's not as good as else where but I live off microwave meals and packaged food (whilst I do hate and must change!!) so having so much choice that was cooked for me that was tasty was amazing!! Now onto drinks...we had the all inslusive package which included all non premium spirits, wines, draught beer and soooooo many delicious cocktails avavlible all over the ship in majority of the bars! The package ended up paying for itself and then some once we totalled it up. So it's worth getting if you like a couple of drinks a day and a drink with dinner. It's even more worth it if you want to drink all day! Whilst talking to other guests it was the itinary that encouraged them to book this cruise; and i must say it did not disappoint. We visited 12 different island in 14 days and sailed through the night so no days were wasted. We went off the ship almost everyday and booked on to excursions via the ship before we left. As it was our first cruise and first time to the Caribbean we went a bit over board with the excursions. Most of the tours started around 9/10am and we're back between 2-4pm so we still got some time on the ship on the in the afternoon. There was only one every early one and one afternoon one so we had a good variety and were able to still enjoy the ships facilities and activities. The excursions were quiet expensive starting at £38 and going up to £127 however with the excursions booked through the cruise you have the guarantee if something goes wrong the cruise has to wait and make arrangements for you where as if you do it on your own you don't have the same peice of mind. So the best excursions that I would recommend to do is: All exclusive beach day - Gaudaloupe Hot springs and falls - Dominica Dolphins - St Kitts & Nives Stingrays - Antigua & Barbuda These ones are good: Norman island snorkelling - British virgin isles Beach and turtles - Martinique Nutmeg and falls - Geneda Rum distillery - St Vicent & grenadines These excursions were okay but wouldn't recommend or do again; Maracas beach - Trinidad & Tobago - pretty beach but rather expensive for what you get St Martins tour and beach - St Martins - didn't go but mum said I didn't miss anything Beach tour - St Lucia - quiet commercialised and locals bit pushy As it was our first time to each of these places we are both glade we did what we did however if we're were to go back we would either stay on our favourite islands and explore more or if we cruised here again we could do a bit more on our own and maybe save some money. One other thing is that I left my phone on one of the excursions (Tortala - British Virgin Isles - Norman island snorkelling trip) and though it was not initially found and I thought I lost it forever it was found and though I have not been reunited with it yet they shall hopefully be picking it up tomorrow and sending it back to me. This gave me great faith in the companies that MSC had chosen to do excursions with and also MSC themselfs and how they dealt with the issue quickly and kept me informed. So Yes I would recommend this cruise liner and tour to everyone. If you have cruised before don't expect the same experince keep your expectations relative and if you never had you won't be disspointed. Read Less

I have been on 3 cruises before this cruise. Both our previous cruises were "cold weather" cruises, one in Alaska and one in NZ. We were very excited about this cruise and I must say we did have an enjoyable time. However compared to the 2 other cruises the ship lacked "quality". The food was below average, especially in the fine dinning areas in the evenings. The entertainment was very good, décor was good but a big concern for me was the cleanliness off the public ablutions. The smelt very bad and where not clean!! We were in a non smoking section of the ship but guests close to us kept on smoking and the smell will blow into our area. This was not dealt with by the staff on board. I wouldn't rush back to a MSC cruise based on this experience. The destinations were great. Mauritius was fantastic and Reunion even better. The excursions were very expensive and can be done on your own at a much lower cost. Read Less

A good break to destress and relax at sea. The on board entertainment was excellent and our assigned waiter for the El Poque restaurant second seating for dinner provided exceptional service - Hadi from Indonesia. The food however was average on occasion, especially the Indian cuisine - was not well prepared. Also, my other family members who traveled, had issues with their Balcony suites not being ready on time when we embarked. The waiting for embarkation was also long with MSC systems being down. There should also be more activities provided to keep all guests entertained especially for the longer cruises. Some of the service staff were very rude and disrespectful during our stay. This matter needs to be addressed by Management, as is a very poor reflection of MSC service standards. Being my first cruise, this was shocking with the bad service we received, and hope MSC will address this. Read Less

Trying to find the perfect gift is always daunting, luckily i decided to gift my husband a cruise with the Msc Musica, Upon Arrival at the harbour, There was a que to get into check in and to leave your luggage, each step was even more exciting as its just one step closer to boarding, When we reached check in and all was in order my two kids, husband and i literally ran to the boarding area, We stopped quickly at the refreshments area to grab a drink and off we were ( this was so though full after waiting in the ques, a thirst quench was just what we needed) The music and the friendly staff outside just set the mood, Finally we arrived inside the ship, our passports was taken and immediately we were sent upstairs to get a wrisk band for my 7 year old, so basically this as to be worn by the child throughout the cruise, as it makes it easy to locate which cabin the child is,incase they get lost. As we explored we bought our drinks package and went on the 13th deck for our buffet lunch, this was my favourite spot throughout the cruise haha hence the weight gain, everything was perfectly set up, different types of food, bread rolls, salads, dessert, tea coffee and water is always served. We sat at a table and indulged in our scrumptious lunch btw the buffet is open 20 hours, breakfast lunch and supper, And the pizzas is thee best tasting pizzas ever, Everything is always in order as soon as u done eating theres always someone to clear up ur table. Making it easier for the next person to come in, After eating we went to our cabin to change up and went on deck to do the drill, Finally we set sail, the experience of just leaving was absolutely amazing. Everyone was filled with excitement. We had abit of a confusion with our cabin and illena from reception was the absolutely best, so friendly and she even sent up a bottle of champagne and some yummy snacks for my husband on his birthday. Theres so much to do on the ship but we mainly hung out on the deck as the kids wanted to be in the pool, there is a kiddies and teens club aswell, my 7 year old loved it and still talks about his teachers, they provide activities the entire day for the kids and believe me its so safe. They even take the kids for dinner and it's so exciting for the kiddies, Again the level of quality and security is absolutely amazing these ladies and gents are so patient and caring with the kids, Everything is always in a order, at 8pm every night we were allocated a restaurant which we could dine in, the food is absolutely amazing and our waiter was so friendly and welcoming, the manager if this restaurant was extremely rude and to be honest he was the only bad experience throughout our cruise, The shopping is a must, my husband bought me the most beautiful jewellery and the 4.5 liter drinks is absolutely well worth it, Island day: Day of island was amazing such beautiful experience, u have to get a ticket on board which will tell u what boat number u are, u go to the 4th floor and a boat awaits u, nothing to be scared about again everything is always in order and safe, when we arrived at the island the blue waters and music and views was just breathtaking. There's alot of locals selling stuff so carry some cash, it was extremely hot so we went straight to the buffet, freshly caught grilled fish and the delicious water melons and mangoes was my favourite, A dj and also a live band makes u feel so blessed just to experience this.We spent the day in the water and then finally decided to leave early as we didn't want to wait long with the kids, The boats started loading up and we finally entered the ship again, As we entered there was a gentleman handing us an ice face clothe again very well thought of as coming out from the heat, this ice cloth was a bit of heaven for us, Back to sail and after refreshing up we went on board for some activities. What amazed me was everything was always in order, the staff are all very hard working, A few are abit rude but majority are so welcoming, oh please be careful when buying drinks on the deck, if u not using ur drinks package, we paid 45 dollars for two jack Daniels and two cans of coke, yet at the bar across is was 5 dollars. So always ask the price before you purchase. The theater the night before we left was absolutely amazing we got to see the captain break some moves, so friendly so creative and overall it was definitely the best experience ooooh i forgot to mention i felt sea sick for two nights so make sure u take something and they also provide some tabs at the reception area. Would i recommended this cruise? I will be off my head not too, A lifetime experience, My Kids are still talking about it and my husband says he doesn't no how to top this for my birthday hahahah. Overall I'll be back again Read Less

We chose to do a cruise to celebrate my birthday and many blessings that have come our way. It was our first time on a cruise Oh what an experience of a lifetime! The boarding process was unbelievably smooth, and the MSC staff at every point made us feel like real royalty. They were professional and helpful. The birthday cake was out of this world, and the short ceremony made me feel like I was the only Lady of the moment! Manager Antonio on the 6th deck restaurant that day, made sure that the birthday dinner went superbly. The inside of the cruise is just out of the ordinary and you feel like you own a palace for the few days that you are on board. Being a person with dietary requirements, the MSC Kitchen was on point to see that I eat the right kind of food. I have recommended the experience to family members and friends. I will do a cruise again, to Northern Europe, Carribbean or Asia. Read Less

We were not disappointed. Our room had a spacious balcony, and had so much storage....very nice. Our butler, Bridgette, and assistant butler, Analise, were so kind, and always cheerful and attentive as were the rest of the staff in The Yacht Club. The ship was very pretty with so much to do. I would recommend MSC’s Yacht Club to anyone that wants to unwind in style. Oh! Almost forgot, the entertainment was great as well! The chocolate Venchi bar was a hit!! The water slides were a blast! A great cruise for a family who wants to meet people from all over the world. Price was great. Got an indoor cabin for 2 adults, 2 kids, fantastica for $1500, cannot beat the price. And it came with a drink on us package. Yes, they do charge a service fee for drinks but that does not add up so much. Embarkation was a bliss, fast, easy. Cruise cabin was small for 4 but with some organizational tips, very cozy. We do not spend much time there anyhow. Service was great and prompt. Our cabin attendant was very busy but took the time to greet us, tend to our needs. The food was great. Not blend as I had read in reviews. The food was diverse, desserts small but you can try more than one then. The restaurant food (we were assigned to Ipanema at 7:15pm) was great, not huge portions but well enough as fine dining should be. We were full every time anyway. We paid extra one night for the hibachi restaurant (our bill was in the $100 for 4, 2 adults, 2 kids). They do work hard in the restaurants, 3 servings so understandably, they want you out before the next service starts. To us, still plenty of time and there is always the specialty restaurants if you want to spend 2 hours dining. We purchased the spa pass for the cruise, at $270 for 2 adults. We used it almost everyday. Was a nice treat. Really worth it. The shows are short but that is a great thing and the quality is amazing. Feels like going to a Broadway show every night. The cruise director was American which goes along the goal of MSC to appeal to the American crowd. The entertainment team was awesome. When we got back on the boat in St Marteen, they had a special welcome back party right on the dock. Music, dancing and drinks. There were 3 other boats and their passengers look jealously at us, boarding the MSC. They sure made us feel special. We cruised on the one-year anniversary of the launch so there was a bday party with a huge cake, replica of the boat, free cocktails and dancing. My daughter (9) sort of made friends with the Master (Captain). She wrote a review note in the box at the reception and we as a thank you, we received a dedicated picture of him and her from a meet and greet and signed boat replica delivered to our cabin, which she will treasure for ever. Lots of cruises from Europe but I am French originally so I am used to other cultures. All together an awesome time. Disembarking was one of the easiest I have experienced too, you can tell they know how to do it. Read Less

I would like to start off by saying that this cruise was booked whilst on-board a previous MSC cruise in the year (Voyagers Club), therefore understandably chuffed with the already discounted trip/cabin/onboard credit ect. The Meraviglia is huge, well planned out and therefore should provide any passenger with a pleasant experience, over the duration of the holiday not once did I see an unclean part of the ship nor did I have reason to complain about the facilities. Travelling with my wife it is fair to say that we know what we want from a holiday and can easily compare the Meraviglia to past MSC holidays! DO NOT DO THIS ! this is where we learned very quickly that this trip is going to be different in many ways. If you are willing to sail away and embrace the new you will have an excellent time..... If you natter on to your newly found friends at dinner about your last cruise and think that that the waiters will have time for you then you will probably have a terrible time... > forget that honeymoon cruise in the Caribbean or that time that you took the kids away on a cruise where you found all the fun to be had at sea! It is very hard to repeat the same experiences, my thoughts below are reasons why I state this....... 1. Technology, your granny will hate it but get used to it as the MSC is top class with scrolling information boards at every lift point (much like scrolling on a mobile phone), scan your card or wristband at the terminal to get a map, book dinner of to simply check on tonight's shows. In room TV info is just amazing with on demand movies, news, safety info and future cruising info 2. Cleanliness - Its clean and tidy, almost OCD level so don't mess up the ship or your room for that matter as your cabin man/woman will notice. 3. Entertainment - Excellent but you'll need deep wallets to get rid of the kids for an hr, 100 euros will get a arcade pass to the flight simulator and F1 car simulator and similar, the water park and high ropes are FREE though so just make sure you use this facility. 4. Adult entertainment - Cirque du soleil, I didn't know what this was at the time but just book and see the show before you board to avoid disappointment, most easily the best show that you will witness on water. SONAR was so so cool. 5. Dining, Expect busy waiters and long wait times at the bar the STAFF versus PASSENGERS ration is miss managed, the only way to have a nice little chat to staff would be the Anchor pub, and that'll be because they know that mainly English passengers go there. Strongbow will be part of your drinks package if you have it. 6. Meeting friends - Not likely, If you are really lucky to keep in touch with your allocated dinner guests and make a point of meeting up or suggesting paring up on land to do some shore excursions then maybe you will> my experiences when even trying to strike up a conversation with others are that the ship is so so big why bother as I wont see you again for the rest of the cruise, even at the voyagers exclusive party and meet the captain it was like being in the middle of a busy shopping mall surrounded by (yes like minded) strangers. Summary - I had an excellent time with my wife and can say that the ship itself is amazing and takes all week to discover each and every facility, MSC have some nice touches, ill try not to spoil all of the quirky tricks that make you feel good about being on holiday but here are two (x2) must have experiences.... A. Get up before six (6am) and walk under the dome (dome show) to see the sky and hear the morning birdsong. B. Be up on deck (poolside) when sailing away from ports to experience Andrea Bocelli's TIME TO SAY GOODBYE song (the younger cruisers will be more familiar with the film step brothers - either way its a nice touch) .......If this is your first cruise I would consider starting with other smaller ships within MSC's fleet before you go big time. Whatever you decide or if you have already booked you will have a nice trip so make the most of it and put in a little effort with others- you'll be grateful when staff remember you for the right reasons and not just because you were complaining at reception- have fun guys. I have cruised before, but my wife had not, and she was looking for "an over the top" experience". So I began searching for big ships doing the Mediterranean in November. MSC had a lot of ships and the Meraviglia is one of the top 10 largest ships afloat, very new, and the video was amazing. The reviews however, were anything but amazing. Like lukewarm and even negative reviews about our favorite restaurants, I have learned that most negative reviews are more about missed/too lofty expectations than reality. The biggest gripes about the Meraviglia seemed to be food and staff. Since the boat is so high tech and wondrously equipped, no one really complained about the ship. Sure enough, even our tablemates as well as others on board echoed the Cruise Critic complaints. They ranged from now having butter and iced tea (both free, readily available) to non English speaking staff who were "unfriendly". If your attitude is "I am the guest and I expect to be served", you will be disappointed. If you engage the staff with your own smile and understand they work 11 hours a day, even my first time cruising wife was amazed at how every waiter and staff person smiled back.....even when they had to say "no" (like when we were late for dinner and the gatekeeping waiter apologized saying he was not allowed to let anyone in past 7:45, so I asked him to ask for his captain, which he did, and of course, the captain, his boss, let us in). MSC offers the lowest prices afloat for the most interesting itineraries and the newest boats.....but unless you are traveling Yacht Club, you just cant expect white glove service--but you can expect politeness and cleanliness and entertainment and "service". And we got all of this and more. Dinner. We only ate at the standard Waves Restaurant. Three sittings, We were the second. The appetizers and desserts were great, the entrees, though varied were not as good and need improvement. Not to worry though because the astonishing buffet, open 20 hours a day, had stupendous selections of excellent food from simple salads, to homemade pizza, Halal and ethnic specialties, rotisserie *the roast veal carved to order was smashing), plus an on board mozzarella factory (you could see it being made) that ensured great caprese salads and more. And they changed the offerings every day! Housekeeping. In a word, perfect. No goofy doorknob hangers telling staff to clean up the room. Just press a button. Spotless. The Room. We opted for an admidships deck 12 interior cabin because my wife was worried about seasickness. The cabin was huge, with a queen plus bed, great pillows, lighting, etc And the bathroom has the best shower afloat in my experience with infinite hot water! And a blow dryer!. Staff. What a great group of waiters and support staff rom Central America to Ukraine and Africa. Just knocked themselves out to please! It surely helped that we engaged them instead of treating them like servants. Prices: For 5Euros we got any two items delivered free to our room. Drinks were 6Euros. The best ice cream and chocolate (made on the boat) were $1-3Euros. The coffee, water, tea, ice tea, etc. were all free at the buffet. So no complaints about the "extras" The experience: 32 elevators, four pools, an arcade full of shops, sky bars, full size basketball court, full size bowling alleys and a water slide that went OVER the edge of the ship, outstanding singing and dancing "Broadway" type shows and Swarovski glass staircases made onboard life hugely satisfying. The guests. Where were all the seniors? This was the first cruise I have ever been on where there were so many families, disabled people, young honeymooners, babies, kids, etc. from so many different countries. A true multi-cultural experience. Our table mates were from the Dominican Republic (an MD and his wife), honeymooners from Colombia, and a couple from Florida. A great itinerary and all of the above for $1300 for 7 nights? Yup, and we cant wait to go again! Read Less

I am a former Cruise Staff and Social Host, who worked for two companies across three ships for four years in the 90's. My wife was an avid cruiser as well before we got married. When looking at a line that best fit our style of cruising and the experience for which we were looking, we stumbled upon MSC Cruises. And, this is our third cruise in three years with MSC; we have a fourth booked with them for next New Year's as well. In MSC Cruises, we have found gorgeous cruise ships (Divina & Seaside, so far), a Mediterranean approach to cruising, a warm family atmosphere with the crew, and ships that truly bring you closer to the sea. For this cruise, we set out on Friday, November 2nd, and drove from our home near Orlando to our hotel in Miami. The trip took around four hours and we checked in easily to the Red Roof Inn Plus by the airport. This hotel offered us free cruise parking for the week and a free shuttle to the port. With the Port of Miami charging $20 per day to park, a $130 hotel stay with free parking made perfect sense. Our preferred hotel is the Hyatt Place Airport East, but they were fully booked. They also offer free parking for the week of your cruise. They would be my recommendation, but Red Roof Inn Plus was not a bad backup. But, if you can get a room at the Hyatt Place Airport East, that would be the best way to go. So, the morning of our cruise, we boarded our free shuttle to the port at 9am and quickly made best cruise friends in Marco and Cornelia from Germany, who sat next to us on the van! You have to love how easily it is to meet people and make friends when traveling! We were at the port before 10am, but thanks to our Aurea Experience priority boarding, we were on the ship by 11am. We also had our own check in lines for Aurea. It was a super smooth process. We were given the MSC wristbands for free with our Aurea Experience booking and they made the entire trip that much easier. They are only a $5 add on for other experiences and so worth it! As is our MSC Cruise custom, after getting a beverage and booking our first sea day massages, we stowed our back packs in the lockers in the spa locker room and made our way to one of the spa hot tubs on deck 8. (You can lock and unlock the locker with your wristband. Winning!) We enjoyed the views of Miami and got into the cruise, relaxation mind set. Ironically, the hot tub we were in, was just below our Aurea Balcony Cabin, #9047. (Port side, forward, deck 9) After our hot tub rest, we went aft on deck 8 to the Marketplace Buffet, and had a delicious lunch with Marco & Cornelia. The specialty restaurant staff were walking around the buffet sharing about the wonderful specialty restaurants and we were able to confirm our reservations easily for the three specialty restaurant package that we had pre-booked. With that work done, we decide to go see if our room was ready. Happily by 1:30pm our room was good to go and some of our bags had already shown up there. Our stateroom was an Aurea Balcony Cabin, #9047, port side forward. You get off the lifts or stairs at cabin 9085 and walk forward. The cabin is gorgeous and decent sized. The couch and desk are in the first half of the cabin, the bed is by the doors to your extra large balcony. There is a USB port on the side of the bed by the balcony and two US and two Euro outlets at the desk. We had no trouble charging phones, cameras, kindles, etc. The bathroom was nice and our cabin steward, Nicolas, kept everything immaculate all week. The bathroom has a shower, body wash, and shampoo. There is also a bar to put your foot on in the shower for shaving and feet washing. The MSC Seaside is gorgeous! And, compared to the Divina, there are so many more spaces that get you closer to the sea! So many outdoor spaces to eat, sit, relax, lounge, walk around, etc. No, there is not a walking track to walk around the entire ship. But, that feels rather 90's anyway. :-) If you want to exercise outside, there is the basketball court and a ton of opportunities to dance and also do fitness classes. The gym is also huge, with a wide variety of Technogym equipment. You can most assuredly get your fitness on. But, Seaside invites you to spend your time outside. There is the gorgeous Bridge of Sighs, the Infinity Bridge, and, again, so much outdoor space. We were Aurea, so we spent a great deal of time on Deck 19 laying out, reading by the bar, lounging in the hot tubs there, and enjoying the wonderful bar service and complimentary towels. What a pleasure not having to bring towels with you from your state room! We also spent our Nassau day on board doing a "tour of the pools." They are all different and lovely! The interior spaces of MSC Seaside are gorgeous and immaculate. There are so many lounges, bars, etc to explore, we really felt in one week that we only barely scratched the surface of getting the full Seaside experience. Hence, us booking her again to enjoy and explore her further next year. But, inside, you are greeted with crystals, mirrors, shiny surfaces everywhere...just a simply, gorgeous ship! Our default location became the Piazza Grande outside of Venchi on Deck 6. It was a great space to listen to music, enjoy gelato, and enter the Metropolitan Theater on the main floor for shows. Pro Tip: most people entered the theater on Deck 7. Entering on Deck 6 allows you access to the main floor and better seats. Cheers! The food was wonderful! We pre-booked the three specialty restaurant package and enjoyed one of them every other night of the cruise. We started with Ocean Cay the first night of the cruise. We were there with only one other couple, Marco and Cornelia, and the intimate dining experience was lovely. My wife, Deeana, is not a seafood fan, but Jayson, our Waiter, asked her what she wanted. She said she was in the mood Chicken Alfredo...so, they made her some from scratch. The noodles were clearly home made and it tasted so delicious! What service, that they would make her something not even remotely on the menu! We dined at Butchers Cut two night's later. There were a few more families dining there. And, the steak we had was perfection...like butter, as Marco said! The mashed potatoes may just have been the best tasting ones on the planet. We also enjoyed delicious glasses of moscato and bottles of Acqua Panna, our new favorite water. Pro tip: Butcher's Cut does brunches on sea days. Very few people have caught on to this. The meals run from $5 to $8 and the carnitas and southern chicken and biscuits were our favorites! We dined at Asian Fusion a few nights later and, again, wonderful experience! I was able to upgrade one of my courses to sushi with Kobe beef and King Crab and it was so delectable, so fresh, so good! We did not do the tepanyaki restaurant this time around, but plan on it for next Seaside cruise. Our dining room was the Seashore Restaurant on deck five. We had My Choice dining, which meant we could go anytime it was open. We were well taken care of by Francis and Emmanuel, who served us with grace, warmth, and professionalism. Did not have a single dish that I was not happy with and the veggie fritata was a standout hit for us! Emmanuel always made sure we had a bottle of water to take with us and Francis was always there with a great wine tip. Our regret was that we did not dine with them more due to doing the specialty restaurants. Pro tip: most people wait until 7pm to eat for My Choice dining. It can put a strain on the staff and hinder service. Go a bit earlier or later, we would dine around 530/6pm and always had fabulous, attentive service. We made good use of Venchi throughout the cruise. The gelato, hot chocolate, and coffee drinks are exceptional. And, the Venchi staff, especially Maria and Nina, gave out of this World amazing service. Fun Pro Tip: if the staff tell you Excellent Choice...you may just have selected the thickest, hardest to scoop out gelato...but, my was it good!!! As far as bar service throughout the ship, we never had a problem. In the casino, just ask the dealer to get a server. You will be well taken care of. Many of the lounges, we got asked right away if we needed service. And, we built quite a rapport with the staff on Top 19 and always had a drink when needed. The staff do NOT run around like other lines yelling and hawking drinks at you. It is not that kind of ship. Thankfully! But, overall, we found the bar staff on Seaside to be even more on their game than on the Divina, which was well appreciated! We did not do the zip line, bowling, pool, video games, etc. That was not what our goal was for the cruise. But, we saw them being used and people seemed to be enjoying them immensely. We did make good use of the water slides however! Wow, were they ever fast! You just need to fill out a waiver by the Forest Aquaventure Pool and then you get a wrist band that allows you to use them as much as you want for free, of course. Pro tip: if you wear a rash guard or pool shirt, take it off, get your body wet before going in, and you will slide as fast as you want. I am not a small guy and I had no trouble with the slides. :-) The Entertainment team was fabulous on board. From the CD Gene, to Kevin, Eugene, Cintia, Arturo, etc. all were warm, fun, and engaging. We joined them at the Sail Away Party and never looked back! All of the theme nights were fun! There are Gatsby, Pirate, White, Country, 70's, and Italian(in the dining) theme nights, and the accompanying parites are great! The White Party is hands down, the best party at sea. Dress all in white and get ready to dance the night away! We crawled into bed that night so happy for such a great evening! Get involved, get to know the staff, they will help make your cruise memorable! We also went to every show each evening, including one of the comedy shows. We love the variety and specialty act nature of the MSC shows and the talent is incredible. Of note, were Enrico, Vitalii, and Diana whose voices were gorgeous! Yes, you will hear non US accents in the singing, but, for me, that diversity adds to the richness of the experience. The sets, costumes, lighting, etc are just top shelf and, all of that combined, makes it very clear why MSC consistently wins awards for their entertainment. You do need to book "tickets" for the shows. But, you can do that with the MSC for Me app or with the big boards and your wrist band or cruise card around the ship. It was super easy to do so, and the app immediately shows the booking. They scan your wrist band or cruise card at the entrance to the shows to make sure you booked. Get to the theater 10 15 minutes early and get a good seat. Don't be the people walking around in the dark distracting everyone as you look for last minutes seats. Our port days, we chose to stay on board in Nassau, and we did our own thing in Ocho Rios, Georgetown, and Cozumel. Ocho Rios, we went to a hotel called Kaz Kreol that is off the beaten path. There lunch was delicious and we enjoyed the atmosphere, laying out, swimming, etc. Side note: don't try their kayaks as you may sink. In Georgetown, we went to a restaurant called Paradise, where we rented lockers for $5, enjoyed their changing rooms, and snorkeled right off of their property. This is the same reef that many tours go to. So, instead of paying to get there, we walked. The snorkeling was incredible...lots of huge tarpon and other fish. Great visibility! One of the best places to snorkel in the Caribbean. In Cozumel, we walked to Hotel Barracuda, and enjoyed the No Name Bar there. It is where a lot of the crew enjoy hanging out, so it is lively and fun. And you can snorkel right off the property. Again, great visibility and lots of fish to see! We made our annual trip to the famous Mega Store and had lunch at Alberto's. It was a lovely day! Our thing for port days is to find good snorkel spots close to the ship, eat some good food, do a little shopping, etc. Prefer to stay away from touristy type things. As I draw to the end of this review, I have to say the overall service we received on board was impeccable. I went to the Guest Services desk twice with questions and got them answered promptly and professionally. I witnessed some other guests losing their minds, which does not help you get great service, by the way. And, from what I over heard, it was people not understanding what they had booked and people trying to pay for everything in cash. Just don't do that. Okay? Cool! It is so easy to register a credit or debit card at the kiosks on board. And, then with the app or the tv in your cabin you can easily see your charges and track them. On the last night we owed 14 cents. I was able to visit a kiosk before we disembarked and settled that 14 cents with my debit card. For this cruise, we chose to roll our luggage off ourselves, which turned out to be quite easy. But, with Aurea, we were given luggage tags #1 and there was a separate area for Aurea luggage in the terminal. So, if we had left ours outside that last night, it would have been super easy to find. Of course, the Port of Miami is chaotic, but don't let that chaos wreck your cruise on the last day. We Uber'd back to the hotel, go into our car, and drove home...fully rested and at peace. Thank you MSC! If you want to see all our photos, we shared them on a number of groups for MSC on a website most of us use daily. But, in conclusion, the MSC experience is like no other. And, we love it! It is for travelers not tourists. If you want the same thing you get at home, in a different location, then MSC might not be for you, to be honest. But, if you want new experiences, surrounded by people from other countries, in a warm, friendly, Mediterranean atmosphere, then come sailing with MSC! Read Less

Choose this cruise as we have sailed with lots of other cruise liners. Thought we would try MSc. Bad mistake.! Beautiful ship. Poor cold food. Cheese on most foods. Two of our guests are cheese intolerance. Staff were not interested when you asked them for anything. They just said over there, And pointed .if you asked them for anything they went away, and didn't return. We were not the only people to complain one lady who spoke in another language but we understood what she was saying no food for baby .! Says it all really. In the restaurant entertainment Staff were seen not using the hand sanitizer. Twelve staff entered in only two used sanitizer. Spreading germs in the restaurant. This is a beautiful ship. But let down by the restaurant staffing. It was apparent that the staff were not happy. Nor were the passengers. I have never saw or witness such poor unhappy staff in all the ships we as a family we have travelled with. We were travelling with a person who has disabilities. Staff even didn't help when she was struggling. Read Less

Firstly I wished I found this website before i booked!!!! Wow we have been on many a Royal Caribbean cruises in the past, but we booked this after watching a very luxurious video on MSC website. We thought that this was going to be opelent, luxurious, classy and extravagant cruise seeing as that's what the video to us. Having paid alot more then we usually would, treating ourself to a jacuzzi room and we were told drinks were all in we were so excited. We were wrong our cruise company got it wrong apparently we didn't have the deluxe package for drinks of course that's started us off badly having to pay the extra €198 each. That way my husband could have a better choice of beers and I could have more options of cocktails and s baileys. What a disapointmet, yes the ship is beautiful but lacking what in my book is no1 customer service. We have never felt so unwelcome alone and miserable by the way we were treated on this ship we my husband and I couldn't wait to get off. All the staff were miserable no one would look at you or ask if you needed anything or help. There was never a good morning or evening nothing. No one is ever made to wash their hands when going into the restaurants,it's disgusting no wonder theses ships get poorly. It's a health risk. This is a must why do they no take this on. Royal Caribbean make everyone who enters resturaunts to wash their hands someone stands there. The food was boring every night in the dining room, the same food just a different flavour. The 4 nights we did eat here at golden sands we waited over 2 hours for 2 courses. Seeing as it was all luke warm or cold and waited so long we did the buffet a couple of nights this wasn't much better pizza and chips.....again samey every night too. We had a rude waiter when we asked once if someone could clear our plates because they had been sat there for half an hour we were told no... I thought he was joking actually he wasn't. I have never in all the cruises I have been on have such bad attitude, rude argumentative, unapproachable customer service like it. Including receptionist, waiting staff, bar staff pool attendants every one was the same... what is that about? why is everybody the same. It made us feel awful, the boat had no life or soul no happiness no life. Do not get excited about the formal night, was a waste of me taking my long dresses. Because actually they called it elegant night, I understand not everybody wants to get dressed up but my husband and I changed twice because thier elegant night was trainers, shorts, flipflops baseball caps and t shirts in the main dining. We were all sat so close to one another, we were on laps most of the time. Ice cream were very nice this we enjoyed for our dessert every night seeing as waiting for an ice cream in the restaurant always took 30 minutes and had melted. Except one day at the Panama pool I was put off when I saw hairs in it the coconut ice cream. The 3d simulator the bowling and zip line is at a fee, all other ships are always free when ever we've been on royal Caribbean.... wow you really should try taking your team and trying your competitors for cruising see how they do it The sun loungers are dangerous, as they kept collapsing with people on them. There's so much more to write. The very worse thing about this cruise is that before we went on this, all my family and i stupidly booked a once in a lifetime holiday cruise to Dubai and around the Emirates but it is on the spendida for December 28th. After reading reviews from that ship, on this site its like reading my own all the same thing. The terrible customer service, the awful food, even reading a cleaner using passangers toothbrushes to clean toilets!!!!! Oh my gosh I'm heartbroken as we will all lose the money if we cancel. So we have had to suck it up and still go. Read Less
