Frustrating Experience

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Magnifica

Embarkation and walk off disembarkation were great. Overall, the rest was a bit of a mess. It was nice to have the key cards on the door waiting for us. It would have been nice to know that our assigned dining room and fun pass were on our key cards. Communication and information go a long way. We were not informed that our dining room was assigned, or that it was listed on our key card. We went ...

The ship is completly unorganized. People are unfriendly. They do not honor the promotions in you're package (specifically the spa) handing management paperwork from msc directly still did not honor the package. Guest services has me call the 800 number from their desk since they were not willing to do it on my behalf. Every time I ask for a manager they seem to miraculously be ...

Beautiful ship and very clean Extremely Rude employees, Terrible customer service, total chaos and unorganized ship ever. Extremely long lines to eat to do anything on the ship. Customer service was Dumb and dumber. Food was 2 out of 5. Shows were boring, never any music, did I say they employees are Rude ? Wish I read reviews before I spent $4800 taking my family on this ship. My 7 year old ...

Yacht Club/Lovely cruise

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

We were in the Yacht Club. Food, service and room were terrific. We ate mostly in private dining room or at the buffet near the YC pool for breakfast when weather permitted. Ship layout is very similar to RCCL larger ships with front to back atrium. Private island was the best I have been to. This ship was at capacity the week we were on it. I would advise not to pre purchase dinner package. We ...

Relaxing vacation. Worst part was the other passengers!

I too don't know what the deal is with all of the 1-star reviews, or perhaps I do...most people are insufferable jerks. Did I wait too long for a drink once or twice? Sure, but it was not due to the excellent staff who all worked very efficiently with a great attitude. It was typically due to short term volume of orders of fancy cocktails. Here are my thoughts: Buffet - Food was ok with ...

Great weekend getaway!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Magnifica

We had an amazing time on the Magnifica. We initially booked a Fantastica balcony but upgraded to a Premium suite Aurea about a month before Embarkation. Our suite was fantastic. We had plenty of room and loved the layout and having a tub in the bathroom. One thing to note, you must request washcloths as they are not provided. We loved the small and easy to navigate layout of the ship and had ...

Excellent staff, good cabin, but needed a bit of better staff planning at times.

This was our 3rd cruise with MSC out of a South African Port. We were Aurea, and it is well worth it for the priority boarding alone. The staff in the Main Dining room were the staff stars of the cruise, friendly efficient and very attentive. The meals in the main dining room were very good and well presented. The buffet was as expected, mainly overcrowded and typical buffet ...

At first as embarkation day, we arrived the port around 9 AM and the check in process took less than a hour because we were traveling with a friend of mine (including the parents) and requested for same boarding time and the line wasn’t too long. The expected departure schedule from Brooklyn Cruise Terminal was early than expected by several minutes. All aboard time is the moment when you must to ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Divina

The ship may be beautiful, but the organization is terrible. Not enough tables in the main restaurant, not enough sunbeds by the pool. Daily lack of Jameson Whiskey, Jack Daniels, Brandy etc and carbonated water!!!! at the bar of the Black Crab Restaurant and other restaurants that were included in the drink package I purchased. The evening dancing in the black crab restaurant full of alcohol ...

First time Yacht club.....never again on msc

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

Decided to try the yacht club after watching numerous videos about how great it is. Booked a deluxe balcony on the yacht club. 1- arrived at port around 9ish, walked over to the blue yc tent. Nobody there, waited about 30 minutes and went inside to ask if anyone there and they said there should be. Finally 10 minutes later a guy comes over says he was on a long smoke break and for us to leave ...
