Fantastic first cruise experience, shame about the food and transfers

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Poesia

Being first time cruisers (this being a "trial run" before doing a TA with Cunard), we had read up on reviews and info re MSC and the Poesia somewhat beforehand. The Western Mediterranean intinerary suited us well, as we had never before been to Portugal. Having 11 days in port out of a total 14 was a very exciting prospect, too. On paper, at least. More about this later. The ...

Our sailing embarked in Copenhagen. From there we sailed for 10 nights, visiting Southampton, Ferrol, Lisbon, Cadiz, Malaga and Barcelona, where we disembarked. About Us: I'm 60 and my girlfriend is in her 50s. We have sailed on MSC, Carnival, Celebrity, Norwegian, Pullmantur/Croissieres de France, Princess and Royal Caribbean. Value: I thought the cruise was fairly priced and we received ...

About the Reviewer: I’m a middle-aged American male who traveled solo on this, my 51st voyage. I have sailed primarily on NCL with over 25 voyages there and a handful of cruises with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Carnival. This was my third MSC cruise and my first time taking a ship based outside the USA for the brand. My previous experiences were on the MSC Meraviglia and the MSC Seaside sailing ...

Relaxed old school Baltic cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Poesia

Overall, we had a great vacation. My opinion is that the MSC Poesia is a “relaxed old school” type of cruise. We chose this cruise and itinerary because we had booked plane tickets to Copenhagen. We enjoyed the cruise after a week road trip in Denmark. We enjoyed the ports and itinerary, which was a 7-day Baltic cruise including Copenhagen, Warnemunde, Helsinki, Talinn, and Stockholm. We have ...

We chose this cruise strictly based on the number of new countries it stopped at (I was aiming for my 100th country) and the time of year (around my birthday in May). We really enjoyed it. Of particular note was the service on the ship. We had excellent service from the following individuals: -Punia, the water at the Mojito Bar - star of the show! Helped us every morning and afternoon, chatted ...

Very modern ship with great amenities but mediocre service

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

Our check in time for the ship was at 10am. Hence we decided to leave from North west London at around 8am so that we would get our car parked (just outside the cruise ship terminal) and be ready to check in around 10. The drive to Southampton was hassle free and we were at the terminal by 9.30am. There was bit of queue getting inside the parking area but after around 15min wait, we were ...

We chose the MSC Poesia as the Itinerary and price influenced us. Copenhagen to Genoa in September 2019. Aurea Balcony Suite, inclusive Drinks Package,(the old one as we booked before the new drinks package took over) We arrived at Copenhagen Terminal at 10.30am, they said we could board at 11.30am and a large Group of tourists decided to rush first, not lining up correctly, it was very ...

We chose this 14 night cruise because of the itinerary and the experience of a new ship. The ship is beautiful but probably a bit too big for us as there was some very noisy areas due to the number of passengers onboard. The ports were fantastic especially the fjords. The dining room we were assigned to (The Panorama restaurant ) was fantastic as were the staff. So Attentive and friendly and our ...

Nice first cruise shame about the noise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

We have never cruised before, and chose the specific cruise we went on, due to the availability of kid’s activities for our 10 year old daughter, the destinations throughout the Baltics and a decent price. Getting on board as newbies was a bit stressful, as we did not know the process and there was little information about what to expect. We also was more stressed than was required as we roamed ...
