Ok, first time giving a review but wanted people to know not to believe all the bad reviews for MSC.We have cruised more than 35 times on almost every cruise line. We decided to try our luck with MSC because of the price expecting the worst. What a surprise - turned out to be one of our best cruises! Embarking & disembark-super fast and easy- staff were great food was pretty darn good- dining ...
The wife and I took our 10th anniversary cruise (and first cruise ever) on the MSC Divina. We were originally going to try Virgin, as the kiddos were staying home with the grands for this one, but by the time we booked Scarlet Lady was full. MSC caught our attention from YouTube and online research. The price point was hard to beat and we weren't looking for a megaship for our first time out so ...
I was on the same ship last August. It was not very good, Food and drinks ran out all the time, the food both quality and quantity was bad and I am not fussy with food. But I am extremely pleased and happy to tell you food in the buffet has improved so very much that I thought I was in a different ship and very seldom ran out of things any more. MSC finally got it. Same with the seafood ...
Great time. The staff was nothing short of incredible. Randolph was our waiter at dinner. We never wanted for anything. Can’t say enough good things about him. He took the time to talk to us, make recommendations, give us tips and tricks to improve our stay, and became an adopted member of our family by the end of the trip.
Rudy was our cabin steward. He noticed that I had a CPAP machine and ...
Great staff they were all so friendly. Yes there is not a lot of bathrooms throughout the ship. The entertainment and food is solid a good amount of party’s. Plenty of bars though. Had to wait 1 hour in a line getting of the ship. With the new elevator technology they have at times elevators take forever and can be crazy. For kids you will have to walk through the casino it’s no seperate. For ...
My 10 year old son, my sister, and I decided to trade the grey Chicago skies for some Bahamanian blue for Spring Break. In the past, we've cruised Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Norwegian as a family. My sister has cruised MSC several other times, so we decided to give it a shot. Based on the price, we paid I was very happy with our experience!

We only ate in the dining room ...
Embarkation:
Check-in was fast and MSC workers courteous, except one New Yorker port worker at security (but I'm a Texan in New York). We had a 10-10:30 am check-in time. After a subway and a bus, we arrived just a few minutes after 10am, dropped our luggage, and then we had to show passport and boarding passes before entering the security. After security was check-in, getting a boarding card, ...
I've been on MSC in the Mediterranean before (Poesia), as well as Princess, Costa and other, smaller cruise lines. I'm a 40+ European and used to work on Princess Cruises in the Carribean and Alaska as a waiter some years ago. I have a decent idea of how things work on the ship and also of differences between cruising in the US and in Europe. I'm a massive fan of cruises and follow very closely ...
Our family sailed on the March 3rd 2024 Meraviglia out New York to Cape Canaveral, Ocean Cay (stop cancelled due to wind), and Nassau. As background, we sailed on Princess (2 times), Royal Caribbean (3 times), and Carnival (1 time). This was our first time on MSC and to be honest, the negative reviews gave me pause. However, we got a good deal and figured that 7 days not having to cook and clean ...
My husband, daughter, and ten-year-old granddaughter and I just disembarked from the March 3 sailing of the MSC Seashore. We are experienced cruises (25+) with about 8 MSC cruises.
Embarkation: We arrived a bit too early and had to wait outside the terminal (my fault.) Once in the terminal, the procedure went quickly. I wish MSC would require credit card authorization at this point rather than ...
