Just OK

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on MSC Poesia

While the ship offered a wonderful itinerary overall the cruise itself was just ok. 14 days out of Barcelona hitting 10 counties was a wonderful draw for us. Boarding was seamless and quick and we basically were able to walk right on and directly to our room. Food was just ok, nothing to rave about but you didn't go hungry. Entertainment was below average, I have seen better at a high school ...

If you’re on a tight budget and want a less expensive cruise experience, maybe for the first time, this may be it for you. If you’ve cruised before and enjoyed it, you’ll be disappointed here. 1. Nothing on board above the basics is included, not even tap water. Several times, our family was asked to pay for selecting the “water” button on the soda-dispensing machines. Once they gave my ...

Lovely cruise but with shockingly bad customer service.

We chose this cruise as a budget trip, so we chose a minimum requirement cabin and the very basic drink package with a determination to get the most out of our pre payment and tightly restricting further costs. Our needs were simple to relax with a drink on board and to explore the various ports we visited. Embarkation and Disembarkation were pretty much flawless. We were on the ship before we ...

MSC Grand Maiden Voyage of the MSC Seascape

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Seascape

We chose this transatlantic cruise to avoid a long flight back to New York City. We had just disembarked the Costa Favolosa cruise (12 days) on 11/20/22. The night prior to the MSC sailing we stayed at the Hotel Granvia which is a repurposed mansion converted to a hotel. The hotel was beautiful, clean, reasonably priced and centrally located. We boarded the ship in Barcelona at 12:15 pm on ...

Not for Europeans

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Seaview

Unfortunately when we booked this cruise we were unaware that the passenger profile were primarily very conservative Brazilians, and as a gay couple felt very uncomfortable. Also all the entertainment was more focused on Brazil - which is ok if it was good, but it wasn't The cruise with all the extras cost us 1OK and we wish we had just flown to Rio direct The food on the cruise was also ...

Excursions let down.

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Seaview

I chose this cruise because of the relatively low single supplement, its date of sailing and, in particular, the interesting cities it was visiting. I was disappointed with the way MSC cancelled the two excursions I had booked to see two of the cities. There is plenty to praise about the ship. I particularly appreciated the space in the public areas despite the large number of guests on ...

The Pros and Cons of the MSC Meraviglia

Cruise review for MSC Meraviglia 19-day transatlantic cruise from Barcelona Spain to Port Canaveral (9/24/2022 to 10/13/2022) Inside stateroom #8073. Note: we only ate in the Market place buffet because the service in the dining rooms are so slow and the food choices in the dining room are very limited. Note that we spoke to many passengers on this very long cruise that agree with our ...

Fall color Canadian, back to back cruise Boston to Quebec City and back.

A fall color cruise was a bucket list item. Unfortunately a hurricane stripped trees of fall colors in many ports. Prince Edward Island was damaged. It closed on our first leg but opened for the second. We booked and enjoyed a Green Gables tour even though damage was evident. Tree damage (almost as bad in Halifax and Sidney) didn't keep us from enjoying Alexander Graham Bell's house and the ...

Great boring ship

We have not cruised with MSC before, only RCCL, but as Grandiosa was the only ship that matched our preferred itinerary at the time period we could have a vacation, this had to be it. We will not cruise MSC again. It is a beautiful ship, it's sparkling, there's mirrors everywhere, and it's very obvious they are trying to be elegant and luxurious. However, that is just on the surface. Food: ...

We choose the MSC Grandiosa since we wanted to experience the new ship feel. Getting on the ship in Barcelona was a breeze. It took no more than 20 minutes from arrival in the port to boarding the ship. First impression was a big WOW. we entered on deck 6 ( the promenade) From that moment one was surrounded by cruise staff trying to sell you pretty much everything. We pre booked the non ...
