Not the best

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Euribia

I really do not know where to start with my review of the Northern Cruise with MSC. We have cruised with a few other cruise lines and I can honestly say that this was worse than being stuck in a Fawlty Towers sitcom Hotel/Butlins. Initially I had read several reviews from various sites in regards to the cruise we had chosen, and I honestly thought that surely it could not be that bad? Oh ...

First and last cruise...but good value

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Euribia

My family decided to try a cruise as a potential new style holiday with small kids (4 & 1). My wife has cruised once before with RC and was quite seasick but it was a first for the rest of us and we thought we would give cruising one last chance before deciding on future vacations. We went into the cruise with fairly modest expectations having spent much time reading reviews on here and ...

Pros are supposed to go before cons, so I will put the positives first, but please don’t miss the negatives later in this review, because although there were a few redeeming qualities, make no mistake, I would never sail with MSC again. First positive, all the staff below the managerial level deserve to be commended for being true, if not powerless, delights. We had many wonderful interactions ...

Glorified Ferry, Cruise advertised as Christmas markets a real let down

The ship is basic having sailed on others it was a poor relation. We had the drinks package which is worth buying just a shame the bar staff are so slow to serve you. We kept asking for a bowl of crisps but they are so reluctant to give you any I don’t know why, we asked every night but only managed two bowls after asking several times, most of the time they just ignored us. The restaurant ...

Stunning ship, Awful everything else

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Euribia

This was my 6th cruise and my first with MSC. I will try to keep it short. The ship is stunning. I will however add that for a ship that is a couple of months old, lifts not working and automatic doors failing is strange. Anyway, for a walk around, it is beautiful. Our cruise was at 4800 passengers and capacity is 6000. If the ship had been full then I would have gotten off at the first stop ...

Butlins at sea - or is that an insult to Butlins?

5 day cruise around Northern Europe. I could write pages but will be brief, hopefully useful though. The ship is stunning, amenities, cabins and most of the staff just brilliant! However and it’s a BIG one, they let far too many people on this ship (6000) so be prepared for noise, crowds, not enough seats in the evening and queuing for everything! All the reviews across multiple review sites ...

6000 passengers with facilities for 3000

Will never go on this ship again - cue to get on (2 hours) cue to get a coffee in the buffet. No seats. Says there are 17 restaurants. Yes -but only 3 that you can use or pay more. Bars the same -always crowded with no seats and almost no waiter service. The evening shows were a joke -but not funny. 30 mins and that was the big show. 6000 passengers , theatre holds 650 at a time. 3 shows per ...

18-30's cruise for 50 year olds!

I purchased this for my husband as a little trial as he kept saying he would like to try a cruise. There were a couple of positives, the food was plentiful and the choice was amazing. The cleanliness of the ship is very good. The balcony room was lovely and the lady who cleaned and tidied it was brilliant. The boarding and departing of the ship was very organised and smooth. But ...

Overcrowded

This cruise was to see if my partner would enjoy cruising. The bars / public areas were understaffed making both customers and staff irate and the number of seats was in adequate in all areas for the amount of passengers. Service in dining room was underwhelming, some of the waiters were uninterested in delivering a unique experience, also not bringing complete meals to the table. The public ...

Hen-party special

MSC seem to struggle to find an identity or target market so end up going down market and lowering standards in their attempt to attract all demographics and sectors. Firstly the service is painfully poor compared to any of the other mid market lines ( P&O, Celebrity, Princess, Cunard, Royal Carribbean) with most passengers facing long delays in getting drinks especially those with drinks ...
