This ship is exceptional. Beautiful interior design and outstanding artwork. Elevators are a problem, a serious problem. I see this as a management problem, however. They had an outstanding string quartet playing several times a day on a hallway. A heavily trafficked hallway. This was our first Oceania cruise. We were tempted by the new ship and the itinerary. We were certainly not disappointed by the ship nor the itinerary although the itinerary was somewhat spoilt by the weather which affected a couple of stops. We have sailed on many lines but this was our first on Oceania. When we saw this cruise, on their brand new ship, we knew it was time to give them a try.

Viking ships were known to us. We chose the Eastern Seaboard cruise because this is an area we were not familiar with. The standard of onboard living was excellent. I chose this cruise because of the ports it included specifically Quebec City, Charlottetown, New York, and Bermuda. The rest I didn’t really care one way or another. Both Charlottetown and Bermuda were cancelled - not Oceania’s fault for Bermuda - weather was bad. Silver Spirit, Montreal to NYC. Have sailed too many cruises to list but over the past 12 months have been on Crystal and Queens Grill in Cunard. We just returned from a ten day trip on the Silver Spirit, Montreal to New York City. Out of 25+ cruises this was hands down the worst because of the weather. It was 29 degrees F in Montreal, we got stuck in Quebec City because of a blizzard, Saguenay port was closed because of the weather, Baie-Comeau was closed because the dock was wrecked by the storm and it was rain, snow, sleet and fog in all ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and because there was only one sea day.Unfortunately the weather meant we missed two ports. There was inadequate provision of on board entertainment on theses days.
