We wanted to try the new ship and went for the ship this trip. The itinerary worked for us as well. We had plans for a couple ports but other than that, the ship was the destination We arrived late in Montreal on embarkation day (long story) and did not get to the ship until about 5pm. Thank goodness the ship was overnighting there. No lineup at that time, just us at check in. We took ...

Phenomenal ship, poor management

This ship is exceptional. Beautiful interior design and outstanding artwork. Elevators are a problem, a serious problem. I see this as a management problem, however. They had an outstanding string quartet playing several times a day on a hallway. A heavily trafficked hallway. It was an embarrassment to see these talented musicians, being distracted by all this traffic. The space is available to ...

Beware of Oceania Suites

This is our first cruise experience with Oceania. Overall, the ship has beautiful decor, cuisine and interactive TV is plentiful. This is about where the positives end. Their IT lags way behind the industry. Check-in is done online albeit without any mobile App to use. When we checked in at the pier, we had to have our photos retaken and answered the same questions that we had done online prior to ...

Excellent staff, food, value

Oceania Vista, Montreal to Miami October 2023. Disclaimers first. My wife and I prefer smaller ships of approximately 1200 passengers or less and Oceania Vista certainly fits that bill. Secondly, we usually pick the cruise because of the ports. Third, we do not like all-inclusive plans as we rarely use the ship’s excursions and are not big drinkers. So that does leave a limited number of ...

Great Cruise on a Beautiful Ship

Oceania is our favorite cruise line, so when I was able to book a cruise on their newest ship, the Vista, I jumped on it. I also liked the fall color itinerary that started in Montreal, a city that I hadn’t visited in the past. I had taken a fall color cruise in 2013 after I retired and loved it, so I hoped that we would be able to see beautiful colors that we don’t see in south Florida. The ...

Chose this cruise for its ports visited. We have have cruised many times before on other lines but this was the first time with Oceania. Staff, cabin, and food all very good.. Found entertainment limited with the same act being on three times during the cruise. Also show cancelled at the very last minute due to sea conditions and the safety of performers. Understandable but no alternative ...

Pretty decent cruise but there is room for improvement

What we loved... Obviously, the food. Oceania promises the best food at sea, and in 90% of their venues, they succeed. Every single place to eat was as good or better than any place I have eaten on any other ship. If cruising is all about food for you—you want Oceania. Loved Toscana, Aquamar Kitchen (try the Poke bowl), Terrace Cafe, Polo Grille, Red Ginger and Pizzeria...in that order. Only ...

This was our first Oceania cruise. We were tempted by the new ship and the itinerary. We were certainly not disappointed by the ship nor the itinerary although the itinerary was somewhat spoilt by the weather which affected a couple of stops. The ship is quite beautiful - restful colours everywhere and some very 'interesting' art. Not always to our taste (the painting over our bathroom toilet was ...

We have sailed on many lines but this was our first on Oceania. When we saw this cruise, on their brand new ship, we knew it was time to give them a try. What we liked - beautiful ship, very clean, wonderful bed, good shower, roomy bathroom, comfortable veranda furniture (standard veranda cabin), fabulous cabin stewards (they were really awesome!) What we didn’t like - the food, spotty ...

New Ship - New Favorite Spot

Wanted to experience the new Vista and was not disappointed. The new venues were great and looking forward to its new sister ship Allura. Dining - The Grand Dining Room is truly grand. White columns and half walls break up the cavernous space and allow for a quieter more intimate experience no matter where you are seated. Menu selections were good but did notice rather dull options when it ...
