While we are not serial cruisers, we have enjoyed cruises on Regent and Celebrity. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the fact that Oceania is advertised as a "premium-luxury" cruise line. We sailed on the Insignia for a 23 day cruise from Montreal to Southampton. Although the ship was said to be recently refurbished, much of it still needed to be updated. The TV in our stateroom was small and the picture was awful. The stateroom was average and much like any other balcony stateroom on an older ship. However, the bed was great. Until this cruise -- our 6th on Oceania -- we have enthusiastically recommended Oceania as having "the best cuisine at sea". We have always been very impressed with the food selection, quality, preparation, and service in all the food venues on the various Oceania ships. 13 days into a dream itinerary and we've missed two ports where we had booked especially interesting shore excursions (now missed) and had an extra sea day.
