Very good but did not live up to expectations

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Seabourn Quest

We have cruised on Regent, Crystal, Viking, Celebrity, Princess and Cunard and although our experience with Seabourn was very good, there was something about Seabourn that did not live up to all the hype. The plus points are excellent cabin sizes, good food, good service and staff (most of the time), excellent safety and security procedures and the all inclusive nature of the cruise. Seabourn ...

Wonderful transatlantic with a few niggles.....

The Pros....... - Consistently brilliant service and cuisine in all 4 speciality restaurants, particularly Red Ginger and Toscana....all 4 had particularly professional and hard working Maitre D's. The Malaysian lamb special was a highlight. - Service in Martinis when Karla was on duty was spectacular; she worked the room like a Maitre'D when not mixing the perfect Martini. I've met ...

This cruise was listed as going from Montreal to Southampton and when we booked (end of 2016 onboard) we opted to take their air/ground package. We flew first to Brussels from Manchester and then onto Montreal. Coming home (to get back to the car) Oceania booked us a BA flight from T5. Surprisingly we were the only people on our inbound Air Canada flight although we met another passenger at ...

First 2 days were sublime & then it descended to hell!

I've been trying to get my husband to do the 'leaf peeper' cruise for, at least, 4 years &, to my surprise, he acquiesced this year. Of course, we always choose Oceania when possible. We flew in early to Montreal and spent two wonderful days/3 nights so our happiness began there! Embarkation was flawless and we were greeted by our beautiful & gracious cabin stewardess who immediately noted my only ...

We enjoyed most of the cruise although we did not like getting into Canada at 9:30 at night. The airport was somewhat confusing in giving us directions to meet up with Viking reps. The guys on our floor were great - when they found out we had just gotten on the ship and had not eaten they brought up sandwiches and wine. Impressed. The room was great - my favorite point was the heated ...

We chose this cruise for an interest in seeing parts of Canada and seeing 911 site, The World Trade Center in NYC which we have been wanting to see for a long time. And what better time than hopefully during fall's peak colors. We really enjoyed the cruise. Our accommodations were perfect. The food, service, different dining possibilities were wonderful, delicious. We really enjoyed the spa area ...

Fantastic on board experience - shore excursions lacking

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Viking Sea

We love Viking. The ships are immaculately maintained, the crew holds itself to very high standards, and the dining is exceptional. The Viking Sea is no exception to this. However, we were very disappointed with our shore excursion experience. And upfront I'm going to say that as this cruise was the very first time Viking had ever been to these ports, and therefore no experience to rely on, maybe ...

We had sailed on this ship earlier this year in Europe. We saw many of the same crew members, who remembered us. The major cities visited - Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, Boston and NYC - were very special. Tours were generally quite nice and informative. Because of speed restrictions on the St. Lawrence by the Canadian government, we were unable to get to Prince Edward Island. We went to ...
