Beware of Oceania Suites

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Oceania Vista

This is our first cruise experience with Oceania. Overall, the ship has beautiful decor, cuisine and interactive TV is plentiful. This is about where the positives end. Their IT lags way behind the industry. Check-in is done online albeit without any mobile App to use. When we checked in at the pier, we had to have our photos retaken and answered the same questions that we had done online prior to ...

Traumatic, Dangerous and horrible experience with Seabourn

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Seabourn Quest

"Seabourn clearly do not prioritize guests' interests, needs, health or safety." "Rotten food, serious service issues, and a dangerous cruise overall" I would sail with just about any cruise line rather than Seabourn in the future. They claim to be "ultra-luxury" but proved to be our worst cruise experience ever! We are long-time experienced cruise guests having completed 30+ cruises over the ...

Worse cruise ever; not worth the money

Chose this cruise because of previous reviews& wanting to try an upscale cruise. Extremely disappointed due to cancelation of excursions even before encountering Fiona! This ship may have been renovated recently but that did not prevent two backups of our shower within our 11 day stay. There was confusion among staff, lots of them around but not much getting done! There is a lack of supervision as ...

Room in dilapidated state and very strong chemical smell

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Zaandam

Here are the irritants and problems, some important and some not, that punctuated my recent cruise in the Maritimes and New England on board the Zaandam: - My interior room was in an almost unacceptably dilapidated state: scratches on the walls, missing tapestry shards on walls, broken cabinet shelf in dressing cabinet, stained shower, repeated problems with toilet flush, TV, shower (the handle ...

Food & Service.

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Insignia

We choose this cruise for the itinerary and only one sea day. The food and service in the main dining room and the speciality restaurants was the worst we have ever had on any of the 49 cruises we have done. In the Toscana restaurant I had pasta which was tasteless we waited a good ½ hour between courses. In the Polo restaurant they had on the menu Kobe steak, when I ordered it I was informed that ...

A terrible experience

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Silver Wind

We selected this cruise line because of its purported luxury features, the ports of call and the timing to see the fall colors. To start this is a very dated ship and the accommodations were anything but grand. The air conditioning did not work for the first two days, the live TV programming never worked, the door to our veranda was next to impossible to close and once the ship did get moving ...

Break down causes 3 days stuck in Montreal and then the itinerary is gutted

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Silver Wind

We chose this cruise to enjoy the fall scenery of Canada, view the whales and other sea life of the St Laurence Seaway and visit Quebec City. When we embarked in Montreal on Tuesday we were not informed of a mechanical failure that occurred when the boat was arriving. Only after awakening Wednesday to the same view did we realize we were still in Montreal and then we were informed of a "small" ...

All confidence lost and will never travel with Hurtigruten again

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Fram

We made a booking in November 2016 to travel through the North West Passage with Hurtigruten because of our interest in the history associated with this remote area. We had travelled with Hurtigruten before; doing the classic Norwegian coastal voyage, and had enjoyed that (apart from eye watering bar prices). The journey booked was titled “The Northwest Passage: In the Wake of Great Explorers ...

You don't get what you pay for.....

First cruise and probably the last. The list of problems on this ship are too numerous to elaborate. Briefly - no hot water some days, no self serve coffee/tea available - only available with room service after 6:00 pm, inadequate seating spaces for breakfast and lunch during inclement weather, options for meals are severely limited, old and outdated stateroom, poorly coordinated and ...

Unbelievably disappointing

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Seabourn Quest

I simply can't believe this is the same cruise line and even the same ship on which we experienced a truly magical trip to Antarctica. Whatever has happened to Seabourn in just 4 years? First, the good point (note the singular): the food has improved massively. Everything else however has fallen off a cliff - the style, the sense of being really spoilt albeit at huge expense , the quality ...
