Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Neptune

Enjoyed the cruise and the many interesting excursions. The tour guides were knowledgeable and gave wonderful local insights to their areas. Especially enjoyed Saguenay and the interesting history of the area. Halifax is a charming area, and the boardwalk was fun to walk down and shop. As we sailed into Boston there was a rainbow over the city which was a lovely way to start the day and our tour ...

I wanted to cruise close to home. This itinerary worked perfectly for me, especially being able to disembark in NYC. The ship is beautiful! There are many quiet places on the ship that people gravitated to so the ship never seem too crowded. We had a penthouse room that was wonderful — plenty of space, ample storage, heated bathroom floor, great balcony, and a great room steward. The main ...

Outstanding Viking cruise, except for the excursions

I have done Viking Ocean cruises in the past with my daughter, and wanted my husband to experience the luxury of a top-notch cruise line. Viking more than exceeded our expectations in that regard. The ship was immaculate, quiet, and tastefully decorated. We can't say enough about the staff - from the Captain and crew to the wait staff to the room attendants - all were the most friendly, polite ...

We have gone on many cruises over the years but mostly on the main stream ships (HAL, Royal, Celebrity, etc.). Last year we tried Azamara for the smaller ship experience and loved it. So this year we thought we’d try the more upscale luxury lines and see how they stack up and how we like them. So we started with the Seabourn Ovation back in March and loved it and didn't think anyone could beat it. ...

We chose this cruise because we didn't have to travel far, and we had a voucher from Viking due to a cancelled river cruise. This was our first Viking Ocean cruise , and we were pleasantly surprised. The ship was sleek, modern and spotless, the service second to none, the food was outstanding, and the entertainment top notch. With around 900 people, we never had to wait for an elevator, there ...

Oceania is my favorite cruise line, always has excellent food and service. From the stewards to the servers in the dining areas, always outstanding service. Dijon and Suprano took good care of us, always available to our needs. Sedeep in the grill in the Terrace Cafe always greeted you with a big smile and asked you what your needs were and often brought our hot dishes to our table if time ...

After having been on 4 Silversea cruises, we chose the Canada and New England cruise at this time to be able to sail into NYC. It was a thrilling experience! We have sailed on the Wind, the Spirit (twice), and the Cloud. Each cruise was excellent. We loved the small-sized ship, and the crew was exceptional. The personalized service of Silversea, from the butler to the maitre ...

First Viking Ocean Cruise - meet every expectation

We wanted to try Viking Ocean and to see the St. Lawrence Seaway. We also did the pre-trip extension because we wanted to visit Toronto (to see friends) and Niagara Falls. Even with 900 passengers on board, the ship did not seem croweded There were places to sit when listening to music, and we enjoyed the Explorers Lounge. The common areas were spotless. The thermal Spa is not to be missed. ...

My husband really likes the Viking experience, and we liked the itinerary. Although I see that no opportunity is provided for negative comments, I will do so here. We were extremely disappointed to be kept "in the dark" about arrangements for our post-tour excursion via train to Oslo. A few days before disenbarkation we went to the guest services and the asian lady with shorter hair would NOT ...

I chose this cruise because of the itinerary. I really wanted to do the east coast of Canada. And the departure from Montreal was very appealing. The destinations did not disappoint. I was totally charmed by the east coast, and will definitely return! The reason that I felt compelled to write the review was because of the outstanding service and dining on this ship. I have been on many ...
