Poor itinerary

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Sky

We chose this cruise to see some fall color along the St Lawrence and New England. We were too early to see that but timing of that is always a gamble. We were really wanting to see Charlottetown but a few weeks before our sailing we were notified that due to newly imposed speed limits on the St Lawrence the itinerary would be changed to omit Charlottetown and add Gaspe. This was disappointing. ...

Beautiful ship and wonderful crew

The all-inclusive price makes sailing aboard a Viking ship or riverboat that much more enjoyable. One does not have to worry about how much more a meal or activity or entertainment would cost. The ship is constantly kept in immaculate condition inside and out. It was good to see our ship looking to clean and sharp when she was docked next to another cruise ship. Because the ship is not packed ...

We had long wanted to do a St. Lawrence River cruise but were put off by the very large capacity ships that were doing this cruise, or the very expensive and exclusive ones. Viking offered a good option. We started In Montreal and wound up in New York City, where we extended for two extra days. The ship was virtually new and beautiful. All rooms and open spaces were decorated simply but ...

Having been on 3 Viking River Cruises and one other Viking Ocean Cruise, we had high expectations for the ship, service and excursions and were not disappointed. We arrived in Montreal in the evening, the first day of the cruise and everything went very smoothly at the airport as there were numerous Viking reps there to check us in and lead us to the bus that took us to the ship. The embarkation ...

Vikings smaller cruise ships are a excellent choice for cruising. Cabins are spacious and the dining and on board staff are excellent providing outstanding service. Choice of ports are good and they always have an included tour available, if you would rather do something else they have additional tours you can take at additional costs. Nighty activity was excellent in the star theater, along with ...

We had sailed on this ship earlier this year in Europe. We saw many of the same crew members, who remembered us. The major cities visited - Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, Boston and NYC - were very special. Tours were generally quite nice and informative. Because of speed restrictions on the St. Lawrence by the Canadian government, we were unable to get to Prince Edward Island. We went to ...

We wished to see Canada in the fall and cities we've never been to.Very professional, upscale ship and crew. Most cordial and helpful at every turn. The entertainment was superb and offered great variety. The food was excellent, especially at Manfredi's. The cabin rooms were convenient and very comfortable. We both feel we have found a top notch cruise line that we would definitely choose ...

We had been on six Viking River Cruises but we had never been on an Ocean Cruise. We enjoy the way Viking operates their cruises. We love looking at the many towns and country side around the world. The tours are informational and well presented. The food is exceptional. We are more than pleased with the quality and variety of the food that is available to us. The ship was the Viking Sky ...

I have traveled all over the world, so when our luggage failed to arrive on time it was not unexpected, but the Viking staff did everything humanly possible to see that it was in our stateroom that night; Everything in our cabin was spotless and the service was the best that I have seen. There was something for everyone on this cruise; watching whales from the Explorer's Lounge; enjoying an ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and dates. Also, we had never been on luxury cruise. The food was excellent. There was much variety. We never had to stand in line and never had trouble finding a place to sit. Sometimes, we had to wait to be served drinks or flag down a server. In the main dining room, the staff was not familiar with the seating arrangements. They carried tiny seating ...
