Just finished 17 day cruise of Western Mediterranean. First time on Seabourn. 3rd cruise on ultra luxury cruise line. The most notable experiences on this cruise are as follows:
Service of Staff. From the first day on board the staff made a point of knowing your name and treating you as special. This was clearly something Seabourn trains their staff to do as I saw many with "cheat ...
Really nice cruise, although getting on a bit the ship was well maintained. The food was lovely the staff and service perfect. The internet was awful, the entertainment was Ok but on one occasion brilliant, The Spa is just usury a ridiculous quote of 249 dollars was offered for a deep tissue massage and 140 for my wife to have her nails done, this is just greed and I would avoid the spa on these ...
First a general word of caution: Seabourn have announced that they will focus on their expedition business, and they have started selling off their ocean going ships one at a time. The Odyssey has already been sold to leave Seabourn in August 2024. My wife and I sailed on Seabourn Legend a few months before it was handed over to Windstar in 2015. All experienced staff had left the ship and ...
We chose this cruise because my parents wanted to see Greece and this cruise went there. They also dreamed of going on an Oceania cruise because the food is supposed to be great as well as service and staterooms.
The cruise began on a sour note as the cruise could not leave from Monte Carlo as it was slated. The reason was given as weather, however, we spent 3 days in Nice before departure and ...
My wife and I plus best friends wanted a Mediterranean cruise. Our travel agent recommended Oceania cruises. Smaller ship with upscale rooms and dining. This sounded great and the itinerary hit all the spots we had on our wish list.
Flew into Nice France 2 days early to explore all was great, would like to visit with more time.
Boarded the boat in Monte Carlo and have to say it is lovely ...
Marina is looking good as usual. Food was good to great. No real misses, everything is better than the mainstream lines. Ports were very good with 3 days in Isreal.
Getting on the ship is amazing, 5 minutes at peak time. They processed everything on board, was a nice touch. The ship never feels overcrowded and laid out well.
Ports were good. Ship tours thru O-Life Florence/Pisa, Rome, ...
Our only previous OCEAN cruise was 20+ yrs ago, on a much larger ship. While we enjoyed a Viking River cruise several yrs ago, we had decided ocean cruises were not for us. We agreed to take this cruise because (1) smaller ship (2) traveling w/ 3 other couples (3) everything included. We were not disappointed. Everything was great about the cruise - staff professional and available, laundry ...
We were sold on this cruise when we saw the itinerary -- from France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Montenegro and more...ending in fabulous Venice. What's not to like? We'd been interested in taking a "luxury" cruise line and had friends who had good experience on Regent and we liked its all-inclusive feature. This turned out to be lavish convenience.
Flew into Nice, France, taxied to Monte Carlo the ...
This was our second time on the Voyager, again in the beautiful Med and although we had visited just about every port on our Monte Carlo to Venice journey many times before, we enjoyed the beauty and weather and culture of these very interesting areas and had a wonderful vacation. We found a great last minute offer and booked about one month prior to departure.
Just like last year: the ship ...
To visit castl Gandolfo and Carcassonne and to experience Muse.
Restaurants. I always thought I would prefer separate individual restaurants as you have on Muse. But, now that I experienced that I was totally wrong. The restaurants were great. The food was wonderful. But, we never got to know anyone. It was like dining in a restaurant onshore. The main reception bar area was huge. We always ...
