I first read about Europa in Berlitz's 2017 guide, fantastic, by the way, in case you're looking for in-depth research about individual ships not on CruiseCritic. I am an American who went on this amazing ship for just over a week, albeit that it was quite difficult not knowing any German prior, but I felt interacting with fellow passengers who spoke at least some English or Chinese (which I ...

My 4th cruise but first on Crystal Cruise. It will be very hard to cruise on any other line. Pros: Exceptional service. Our PURE room was kept in amazing shape as the attendant must have gone in multiple times throughout the day. So pleasant and welcoming she was. Food is plentiful and clearly labeled. Ask for anything and they seem to have it and will bring it to you without question. ...

We have done more than 40 other cruises including two world cruises, but this was our first time on Seabourn. We had high expectations for this cruise and overall they were either met or exceeded. I waited to do this review until after we completed our cruise on Oceania Regatta, which we just completed. That was our first cruise on Oceania and I thought it would make for an interesting ...

Notes on Seabourn’s Sojourn. 1st to 8th September 2016 We have just returned from a splendidly hot and sunny cruise round the Mediterranean Riviera. Spain, France and Spain. This was our first time on a big sister, but we have sailed twice on Legend, a little sister. Here are all the special things we love about this Luxury cruise line Embarkation is welcoming, and without fuss. On our ...

Actually I was pretty nervous taking a trip like this but after we arrived at the airport in Monte Carlo, we were met by young professional Regent employees who quickly set our minds at ease. The pre cruise stay at the 5 star hotel was flawless and the breakfast the next morning was fabulous. As we entered the restaurant that was right on the Mediterranean, we could see our ship the ...

I never thought that I would enjoy cruising. We went on a 3 day cruise years ago on Royal Caribbean to the Bahamas, and it was OK. We'd talked about going to Italy for some 15 years and, during a trip to Hawaii in 2009, I realized that I had a fear of driving around cliffs. So, I started looking at cruises around Italy in 2012 because I didn't think that I could drive the cliffs and really ...

My third cruise on Serenity and my favorite so far. I have sailed 4 times on Holland America, which I enjoy, but Crystal really is a superior experience. I stayed one night in Monte Carlo at the Fairmont (Crystal package) which was dreadful and outrageously overpriced. Once I was on the ship the bad hotel experience was forgotten. I appreciated the seamless ease of the check in and the immediate ...

My husband surprised me with a week cruise on Crystal. I only had a couple weeks notice that we were going, and usually I prefer to plan more in advance but Crystal had everything so well in hand and well organized that this wasn't a problem at all. I really don't know what to say in this review except to say that I adored this ship, mainly for the staff's attentiveness and the fellow passengers' ...

Embarkation: Flawless - We arrived at the pier a little after noon. There were no lines to check in and after the usual formalities we walked on the ship, left our carry-on bags in the stateroom, and were seated before 12:45 at an outside table overlooking the ocean at the Colonnade. Stateroom: Our veranda "suite" #723 was very comfortable. Closet and drawer space was very good. The inside table ...

This was our fourth Seabourn cruise, Monte Carlo to Barcelona in July. We chose to fly out on the day and booked a 'resorthoppa' transfer which was trouble free as previously when used. Seabourn has excellent dining venues and with it being quiet we enjoyed Restaurant 2 on the first night overlooking the sunset ( and again later in the cruise). Indeed we were saddened to hear how many book for ...
