The Carnival Elation was a well designed and maintained ship. I decided to take a last minute cruise out of Mobile before Carnival pulls the Elation. We sailed on the Elation August 2011. First of all, I am really disappointed that Carnival is leaving Mobile. The efficiency of the port was top rate. One of the best we've ever been too. I enjoy Carnival. This was my second cruise with them. The Mobile port is easy to maneuver especially because there is only one ship that docks there. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Downtown (it's the round building) They have parking available there for 55 dollars for a 4 night cruise which is about 15 dollars cheaper than the port parking.
