Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Marina

Going on a Panama Canal cruise from Miami to Lima Peru was on our bucket list. The itinerary was terrific. The boat is old and needs renovation to to bottom. Unfortunately, we are on this tub again in June from Lisbon to Oslo for 23 days. The scheduled renovations will only touch the Penthouses and common areas, not the balcony staterooms. We were lied to about this from several sources onboard. ...

We chose this cruise as a 70 birthday present to each other. 26 night cruise including the Amazon. Booked a conceige cabin, so had a pre- cruise hotel. Lovely room but stuck in a residential area, long queue to check and poor luke warm breakfast. Never had such a long wait to board, even had a wait to even join the queue. The poorest standard cabin, I have had on a cruise ship. Cracked, chipped ...

Mariner is not in good shape - needs an overhaul big time!

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Dining rooms had repetitive menus for five months, the two specialty restaurants Prime 7 & Chartreuse never changed the menus. All dining rooms were chronically understaffed which meant long waits for food to be taken and then dishes cleared. Newly hired staff had little to no idea of what exactly they were responsible for - we repeatedly waved down staff for a refill of water and wine with our ...

Please remember that this is only one person’s opinion and may not reflect your view or the opinions of others. A Two star ship from a Two Star cruise line - Oceania Marina

Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

Marina is a 10+ year old ship that looks her age, Decor is dark, halls are dimly lit. You can see signs of rust, large dents on the ships side, and the ship was due for refit in 2022 and then postponed to 2023 and again until 2024. This obviously is due to NCLs tightening the budget. Several crew members complained about issues with kitchen, dishwashers etc that are showing their age. Ship ...

We are extensively experienced travelers in our late 60's and chose this 51 night cruise for the itinerary. I should say this is our second experience with an extended cruise on Oceania this year. Our previous cruise on Insignia was spring of 2022 and I did post a review afterwards. We almost cancelled this cruise due to the Insignia experience but were more forgiving due to restart issues. At ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Seabourn Quest

From a global point of view, we think that Silversea is better than Seabourn and gives much more value for money. Positive side: The ship is modern, we liked very much the suite, and there are very nice places such as the Seabourn square, very cosy, very comfortable, as well as the observation lounge. The service was generally very kind and willing to satisfy our needs, which is most ...

Cruising with Covid the good, the bad and the ugly.

Having not cruised for almost 2 years we decided to book 2 cruises for the last part of 2021. The first cruise on the celebrity Apex from Athens to Miami went well. We had to wear masks most of the time and tours were mostly on Celebrity controlled tours. All passengers and crew were vaccinated, and they tested us several times during the cruise. The ship made all the schedule ports, and the ...

This was the maiden voyage for this crew following the long Covid-induced hiatus and it was clear to us that this ship and crew was not ready. BIg things and small were problematic. We can start with our return flights which were changed without consultation or notification. I discovered the change when I reviewed the embarkation package. Then Oceania insisted that it was a schedule change ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted to go through the Panama Canal and had been to most of the Mexican ports that would be covered by a cruise starting or ending in California. We were particularly interested in the Colombian ports, which were cancelled two weeks before our sailing date and NCL would refused to let us cancel and get our money refunded. Supposedly the ship had "mechanical ...
