Fun even with some issues

Transfers I made the mistake of purchasing airport to cruise port transfers via Royal Caribbean before making my hotel reservations. It would have been much easier for me to use the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Hotel’s shuttle service. In addition, the wait for the Royal Caribbean shuttle was far too lengthy. It would make much more sense if they had smaller vehicles that made more ...

All in all a nice week

We parked at Premier Parking USA, it was $67.00 for the week. When we arrived there was a line of about thirty people with luggage standing in the sun and there seemed to be no one in charge. However, within a few minutes three additional vans pulled in and we were loaded and quickly arrived at the port. This company does like for you to get off the ship early when you return and they were a ...

This was our first cruise (my girl friend and I) booked by my parents for their 50th anniversary and included my three siblings with respective spouses. This was on Liberty of the Seas, September 12-19 and covered the Western Caribbean (Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel). The ship was quite spectacular, especially never having been on a cruise ship before and the process for ...

Good Cruise but not Great

We love cruising, and it is by far the greatest vacation in the world. This was our first time on the Freedom class ships. We feel comfortable on the Voyager class and our favorite class by far is the Radiance class ships. We felt that this ship was too crowded, from the Windjammer to the pool area nd the promenade. The food in the dining room was above average. It was as good as any ship we ...

Nice, clean, beautiful ship, with easy embarkation, and express walk off was great. Stateroom attendant was very attentive, and service crew of John and Diego were very attentive. However, having cruised on many ships/lines, we left disappointed. It seems that RCCL lacks attention to detail, and likes to go the a la carte route. Problems noted: 1. On embarkation day, in Windjammer Cafe as you ...

Liberty of the Seas a big disappointment!

On January 10, 2010 we took a 7 night cruise on the Liberty of the Seas leaving from Miami with three ports of call. They were Costa Maya, Belize and Cozumel. We are from Florida and the weather was so cold we decided on a Thursday to book the cruise leaving that Sunday. We had friends that were sailing already on it, so we thought it would be a good idea to surprise them. Booking so late, there ...

Background: 12 cruises total (7 RCCL, 3 HAL, 1 Carnival). Booked this via Royal Carib as an interior guarantee for a great deal somewhat last-minute; decided to book their CruiseCare insurance as well, which was a good thing indeed -- see below. Embarkation -- we flew into FLL and hired SAS Transportation to take us to the pier on a shared van. Communications were not good -- we were, on more ...

Background - This is our 9th cruise and second on Royal. We have done 4 Princess, 2 Royal, 1 Disney, 1 Regency, and 1 on Sea Dream. Embarkation - Piece of cake. Miami port authority has it together. Arrived at pier about 11:15 and we were on board well before noon. Had a quick lunch in the Windjammer and headed to our staterooms. Staterooms - We traveled with our two kids. 15 year ...

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

We booked the 11/8/2009 sailing over a year prior. Our daughter was diagnosed with cancer in September 2009 and we decided that after a year of surgery and treatments, her family would be ready for some rest and relaxation. We chose this ship because of the H20Zone and hot tubs. My husband and I have previously sailed 8 times with RC. We live just 1 hour and 45 minutes north of Miami and drove ...

First Time Cruising Royal Caribbean

We sailed on the Liberty of the Seas October 17 and our ports of call were Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel Mexico. We flew out of Dulles Washington Saturday morning and arrived in Miami around 8:40. We signed up for the shuttle through Royal so we waited around once getting our luggage for about an hour or so. Once on the shuttle they took us to the ship which took about 10 minutes. ...
