This was our 1st Oasis Class Ship and it was just "OK". We were in a Balcony Room on the 14th floor in the front of the ship. My wife and I have now gone on 5 Royal cruises in the past 10 years and have been on Freedom and Adventure of the Seas previously. We've also been on Norwegian and Celebrity. We really looked forward to going on this cruise but left feeling... "eh".
Pluses. Getting on ...
We were a group of five travelers. My husband and I and adult children.
The Ship: Beautiful but starting to need some updating. Furniture in common areas is starting to age.
Cabin: We had a Central Park Balcony. The location was great. Our A/C didn't work very well. We called and it was fixed and then worked fine.
Excursions: Four of us signed up for an excursion with RCCL. The excursion ...
We are a family of 3-mother in her 50's and 2 adult daughters in their 20's. This was our 17th cruise-I believe our 4th on RC. Overall the Allure was the best vessel we have sailed on. It has a magnificent design with lots of light and interesting open areas. Our favorite locale was Central Park on deck 8. That being said, our experience on this ship was average. Most staff interactions were ...
This was our first cruise on the Oasis class, fifth on Royal Caribbean and fifteenth overall. The ship was at capacity with 6500 passengers and 2500 crew. With that many people there are a few unique adjustments. To attend any of the shows and some special events to need to make a reservation. We were anytime dining which also requires a reservation. Since no venue on the ship can come close ...
We wanted to celebrate our 55 anniversary with my daughter, her husband and two teen age boys. We took three cabins on the same floor and were able to have dinner together every night. The service on the ship was outstanding. The staff was cheerful and helpful. Our room stewardess was funny and hard working. Tess could not do enough for us. The servers we had in every restaurant, whether ...
Went on this cruise with my fiancé and his parents and my mom. Wanted to be on the largest class as it was my in-laws-to-be first cruise and I wanted to show off as much as possible. We stayed in Miami (Coconut Grove) for 2 nights before departure to explore Little Havana, Vizcaya and Miami beach.
RCCL’s Terminal A in Port of Miami was amazing. The most seamless embarkation and disembarkation ...
We chose the Allure for our first family cruise due to the wide variety of entertainments and facilities for both adults and teenagers. We weren't disappointed as everyone in our group had a fantastic time. The teenagers met a brilliant group of peers and have stayed in touch since we returned to the UK. The adults had a great time at all the shows and in the bars and restaurants. None of us ...
We had several big hiccups on this cruise. Firstly when we made the final payment for our room the RC agent changed our room somehow in the computer from a six person balcony room to an ocean view. We were quite upset when we got on board and it took some time to find out what happened but guest services finally figured it out and they gave us a credit towards our next cruise. I have to commend ...
This was the second time that we travelled on the Allure o/t Seas.
1. The most impressive improvements were embarkation and debarkation. Not doubt RC has done a great job with Terminal A at Miami cruise port and the new procedure. Getting on board worked like a breeze. Also impressive reentry to the US just with facial recognition!
2. The second improvement to mention is the new RC ...
My girlfriend and I sailed on a 7-night Western Caribbean cruise Nov 11 on Allure of the Seas. This was our 9th cruise on a Royal Caribbean ship and our first on an Oasis Class vessel.
Embarkation
We embarked from the brand new Terminal A in Miami. Since it was a new terminal there are still some kinks to be worked out. The traffic flow needs to be looked at critically and adjusted to ...
