A transatlantic crossing has been on my bucket list for five tpyears but something always got in the way. When my wife and I made the decision to do it this spring we decided to go upscale since we would be on for two weeks with minimal port calls...thus we picked Oceana. We had a standard veranda cabin and the size and appointments were more than fine.
Of special note...the staff to a person ...
Several months ago, my wife and I decided to do a transatlantic crossing. Having cruised with Oceania before, we decided to book the crossing on the Riviera. Our preference is typically small to medium size ships. The Riviera (as well as the Marina) are a little larger than we typically would book but for the crossing it was perfect.
The booking experience as easy and convenient. Specialty ...
My husband has always wanted to do a transatlantic crossing and the timing of the Oceania cruise was right. We both love food and wine and that was definitely a selling point to sail with Oceania, as was the relatively smaller ship size.
We had a fun couple of days in Miami before leaving; no problems getting to the terminal or our cabin once on board.
We found everyone on the staff to be ...
We recently completed the transatlantic cruise on Riviera from Miami to Barcelona. The boarding process was set up in a temporary tent, though not as professional a set up, the staff got the job done, quickly and efficiently. The ship has been immaculately maintained, the staff very well trained. We dined in all restaurants, including the specialty restaurants several times. Aside from our ...
I chose to do a transatlantic cruise on the Riviera because it has a Resident Artist. The program surpassed my expectations. Noel Suarez is a masterful artist and teacher . Being in the art class was a major investment of time but worth it for me. Noel started at the beginning, drawing and after many lessons, the final product of everyone in the class was terrific. I had wanted to be inspired to ...
I had always wanted to try a TA cruise and this was a perfect opportunity. It turned out even better than my expectations. The greatest aspect was the leisurely pace, not having to get up early in the morning for a shore excursion, having plenty of time to linger over meals, and lots of the during the day for reading and napping.
My wife and I did only the 14 day TA crossing and returned from ...
Having had a wonderful experience on the Marina on a recent South Pacific cruise we decided to do an east-bound transatlantic on Riviera, her sister ship, sailing from Miami on April 11 and arriving in Barcelona on April 25.
This was our first spring transatlantic (our previous one was on a Princess ship in the fall) and we weren't sure whether to expect rough seas and/or very cool weather but ...
This was our first cruise on Oceania since it was purchased by Norwegian Cruise Line. We wondered if the service and food might decline. Their was no need for concern as the food is still the best at sea, service was excellent and the cruise was wonderful. We will continue to cruise this line.
The ports (Bermuda and Madeira) were nice to revisit and our first time in Gibraltar was excellent. ...
My wife found the cruise from a brochure for Oceania and talked 6 of us into going. Our first time aboard any Oceania vessel. We were very pleased! No NORO, after a discussion on cruise critic roll call of this cruise and some unnecessary worrying, there was no Norovirus that I ever heard of. A lovely time, cruise critic met each sea day it was an excellent cruise.
The internet is the ...
This is my sixth cruise, all on Oceania. We chose a transatlantic cruise because we wanted a relaxing two weeks without guilt...we could lie in the sun and read, or participate in shipboard activities without fear of missing something in port. We docked overnight in Bermuda and were one day in Madiera, one day in Gibraltar on our way to Barcelona. It was a perfect itinerary for us.
We used ...
