The Riviera was highly recommended to us. It was our 2nd cruise with Oceania (Insignia, before), and I should have known better. My husband and I go cruising to relax, have nice meals with good service, and then dance the night ways! This just was not possible.
Embarkation was fine, although we were not advised that we could board at 11 a.m. (Concierge Level) -- our "ticket" read 12 noon. ...
We chose this particular voyage for two reasons: we had previously done our first transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary about 18 months before and we wanted to do that again; and secondly, a friend who has travelled extensively on Oceania raved about this particular shipping line. There was much that we enjoyed about the Riviera and the crossing and some things which disappointed.
