1-10 of 13 Oceania Riviera Cruise Reviews for Luxury to the Bahamas from Miami
We chose this cruise because some of my 93 year old mothers friends were going on it.and she wanted to join them. Being that she is elderly we thought someone from the family should also go with in case there were any issues. It ended up with others joining my mother. Three siblings and a son -in-law joined in.

This was our first Oceania Cruise, and we chose it because of one destination - Bermuda. When we arrived at the port in Miami, we were told that we were not going to Bermuda due to high seas and strong currents. Since we had been to the other ports on the itinerary, we were disappointed, but what can you do? After a stop in Nassau (which was not worth even getting off the ship), we set sail for ...
The ship is beautiful. The cuisine is fabulous. We couldn't wait to get off. We were in stateroom 7033. The heating and air conditioning system only blew cold air. No matter how much we turned up the thermostat, the unit, located right over the right side of the bed, blew cold air. Even with the veranda door open, it blew cold air. Sleeping under the cold and perhaps dirty (dust? mold?) air ...
This was my fourth and last cruise on Oceania; although we said that after our third Oceania cruise. We are seniors and don't move quickly ourselves, but the number of people on walkers, using canes and oxygen tents and in wheelchairs can cause frustration onboard as many don't feel the need to allow others to pass. Instead they spread out across the hallway, preventing people from passing. It ...
WE decided to go for a cruise over Christmas and New Years. We told our travel agent to book Viking out of Miami. It was sold out so our agent suggested we try Oceania, as they were comparable. The are not. We were disappointed in most aspects of the cruise with exception to the crew. They were exceptional. The spa was great also. All other aspects where inferior. The entertainment was poor. they ...
Cruised on this ship before and the date worked. The staff onboard is outstanding and always ready to please. Very clean ship everywhere. The cooking classes were amazing and the instructor/chef was amazing. Now the bad parts! The entertainment and food were sub-par. The shows were so bad ....::that calling it a high school musical is insulting to HS! Their a brand that is suppose to be known ...
Let me start with a few positive comments that made me glad I was able to have this experience at least once. The finest thing about the trip was the bed. It was gloriously comfortable. Magical. I move a lot when I sleep and the bed seemed to make me comfortable no matter how much a moved around. Not too hard and not too soft. Cool. Like a dream cloud with support. Amazing. Fine linens, bedding. ...
We got a brochure in the mail (it seems we get one every other day). My husband had heard great things about Oceana, so we decided to call and get some info. The agent for Oceania told us we were getting a great deal, so we bit.
We were looking for the great quality of food aboard. We ended up having to send back 8 entrees because of overcooking the fish. Actually had to send back a filet ...
Embarkation went very well. Quick, organized, efficient and we were able to board earlier than anticipated, which was nice. Toured the ship before anyone got on and got fabulous photos. The Riviera ship is beautiful. Not a bad word could be said about the decor, cleanliness, furnishings, finishings, etc. Just beautiful. The disappointment came at our first dinner. The waiter rushed us and we ...
WEAKEST on the Riveria was Destination Services! The staff seemed very DISORGANIZED in getting guests off the ship in a timely manner and the logistics of just getting to the activity destination were MUCH LONGER than expected or stated. For instance, boat tender to Harvest Caye, Belize was an hour, the bus ride to the activity was another hour and the activity was under an hour. NO LUNCH was ...
