THE REGENT CRUISE FROM HELL

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Regent sells this cruise as luxury, which is deceptive. Most of their ships are old which in this case is the Mariner, which is in disrepair [the Navigator which I sailed on is worse the ac could not be fixed and staterooms in aft bounced from the engine room.] The stateroom was not ready for use. The ac temperature was 74 and there was slow airflow. After four calls throughout the day and being ...

First Class in almost all respects - Will definitely be back

This was an Anniversary cruise for us and we were quite pleased with the overall experience (particularly no children on board). My wife's double-doctorate background concluded that, facetiously, Walt Disney must have been involved with Regent's personnel committee because she/we were so, so overwhelmed with the friendly, caring, positive and enthusiastic traits we experienced every single day of ...

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Always remember that whatever you get for "free" is worth exactly what you pay for it. Internet service aboard the mariner is a signal case in point. Over the 22 days of this cruise, I think I got perhaps 10 minutes of semi-acceptable quality wifi/nternet acces. Slow, unreliable, unpredictable, unworkable and as frustrating as pushing a mule up a steep hill. And I don't think that those ...

Old, shabby and unimpressive

After 3 prior cruises on Regent Seven Seas, we chose this Caribbean cruise based on itinerary, convenience, New Years Eve, and past experience with Regent. I, as well as my cruise mates, noticed a very perceptible decline in Regent cruises since my first one 7 years ago. The staff, except for the butler, were mostly inattentive and uninterested. The food was, for the most part, inedible. Even ...

A very disappointing experience!

I choose to take a cruise on Regent Seven Seas because of the great reviews and all-inclusiveness-excursions, casual dress, included tipping, wines and alcohol. I was taking the cruise to see if I could recommend Regent for another cruise my business was taking in 2019 for 20-40 people. I shipped a box of wine and were assured that it would be delivered to our stateroom. By 5pm, we started to ...

Great excursions to Mayan ruins

The Maya region is one of my passions and this itinerary offered good excursions in several ports. I like traveling with Regent even if Mariner is not my favorite ship. It's getting a little worn and showing wear. but the crew is still great. We used Regent air and pick up at airport was fast and included a small guided tour of Miami that was very good as was the tour guide. After almost a 3 ...

Exceeded My Expectations

I will preface by saying that I am a regular cruiser and have tried many different categories of cruise lines. Of course Regent is up there with one of the best, and I can definitely say that's where they belong. I went on this cruise with very high expectations, and I am happy to say they were not only met, but exceeded. The ship is very nice and a very comfortable size. Sure, it needs some ...

From start to finish this was a great ship with an outstanding crew. We cannot say enough about the service team. From start to finish all of the staff were committed to making our holiday something to remember. The food service team were attentive and expressed genuine and attention to detail. Every meal was outstanding. When we asked for a different wine it was presented effortlessly. ...

Very disappointed

We wanted a luxury cruise on a smaller ship with excellent service and good food. We had only cruised on Oceania before and thought that this line would be comparable. We were sorely mistaken. Arranging air travel was difficult. Their agents wanted to do nothing about changing seats or upgrading. The ship was tired and dated. The furniture in the cabin was stained and scuffed. The ship is going ...

Was Not The Cruise Line From The Past

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

User Avatar

My husband and I chose this cruise line because we have sailed with them before. We do not like the big ships that have so many people on it that it is overwhelming. Regent has small ships that hold 600 people and that is more then enough. So this would make you think that you are getting really individual attention. We found that on this trip the staff would be very good at serving you some days ...
