My wife and I traveled on Regent Mariner for the first time on this cruise line. Even though the ship shows some signs of wear, the crew could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We loved everything about the voyage. The ten sea days were filled with activities, especially an excellent lecturer. We enjoyed playing ACBL sanctioned duplicate bridge on the sea days. We danced every evening ...
We liked the itinerary and the cruise line. Regent is expensive, but you don't get nickeled and dimed on board. The size (small) of the ship also made it attractive.
My mjain complaint was the lack of activities and the lack of variation in the activities. Since my wife and I like "brain" games - trivia of various sorts, this cruise was lacking.
I also would have liked a bit more variety in ...
We hav been on Regent Cruises before but they have definitely gone down hill. We chose the Amazon adventure 25 night cruise. Regent advertises all inclusive shore excursions and premium drinks. We booed shore excursions weeks in advance. It took several visits to their website and several phone calls as not all locations were available for booking. We finally had all excursions booked. They ...
Have gone on a Regent Cruise many times. This is the first time we neither enjoyed the ship or the destinations. Our South American cruise highlighted the Galapagos and Machu Picchu, however they were not a part of our sites. Machu Picchu was a post 18 day cruise destination which was not clear in the marketing. There was one excellent lecturer on board, but very few daytime activities that were ...
Great cruise!
We chose this cruise for several reasons: 1. we hadn't been on Regent for over four years and felt it was time to give them another try; 2. we wanted to see the Panama canal; 3. it was an expensive way to get to South America to visit our friends in Ecuador.
We are Gold on Regent, and this was our 12th cruise with them; we go back to 2000 on the Paul Gauguin. We had sailed on ...
We recently sailed on the Seven Seas Mariner on the 72-night Panama to Patagonia Grand Voyage. We wanted to take a bit of time before writing this review so that it was written from a thoughtful perspective rather that an emotional viewpoint.
We have been sailing with RSSC since 2007, and have logged 391 nights having sailed on several world cruises and grand voyages. On each voyage we ...
Despite the negative reviews posted for this cruise, we would like to post a positive opinion. We were on board Regent Seven Seas Mariner for 72 nights (from Miami to Miami), and although there were some disappointments and inconveniences involved, we can't really blame Regent for any of them.
Yes, there was a gastro-intestinal virus that came aboard in Lima and persisted until the end of the ...
Let me begin by saying that we love Regent Seven Seas. This will be our eighth cruise with the company. With research and planning we were looking forward to this once in a lifetime cruise of South America. Unfortunately, several experiences can truly put a damper on an otherwise wonderful trip.
Embankment: Quick and easy.
The ship: We have cruised on the Mariner before but still enjoyed ...
