Great Experience on the Regent Seven Seas Grandeur

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Seven Seas Grandeur

My wife and I are relatively new to cruising having taken just two cruises before this one. This was our first time on a premium line like Regent. We had a blast! First, the ship. It is only a few months old and it is simply magnificent. Every detail was well thought out and well executed. The focal point of the ship is the cental atrium which is an elegant multi-story space where all the ...

Getting on in years and wanted to try what some considered the best in cruising. So we booked a Grand Suite on the new Regent Grandeur. We are the type of cruiser that no longer bothers getting off any ship. And as Will Rogers said "The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for." Well get use to standing in line on Regent Seven Seas. For those willing to splurge $30,000 for a ...

Regent's Most Luxurious Ship

We are Platinum members and have enjoyed all the Regent ships. Our first impression of the Grandeur is WOW! It is laid out just like the Explorer and the Splendor but the decor is over the top. There is more marble on this ship than in the Vatican. The use of alabaster with lighting is throughout the ship. The color scheme is easy on the eyes. Although all the seating looks beautiful, they ...

We chose this cruise for several reasons. The Panama Canal crossing was of interest as was the embarkation city of Miami. Embarkation was seamless and disembarkation was also complaint free. By the time the cruise started we lost 4 ports and ended up with an extra night in Los Angeles and a trip to Puerto Vallarta. Not happy with the last minute changes that were attributed to "green energy" ...

Mariner is not in good shape - needs an overhaul big time!

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Dining rooms had repetitive menus for five months, the two specialty restaurants Prime 7 & Chartreuse never changed the menus. All dining rooms were chronically understaffed which meant long waits for food to be taken and then dishes cleared. Newly hired staff had little to no idea of what exactly they were responsible for - we repeatedly waved down staff for a refill of water and wine with our ...

My wife, mother (87 years old), sister and her husband, brother and his significant other, and I recently returned from a trans-Canal cruise, “Christmas on the Canal,” on the Regent Splendor. This was a bit of a “hail Mary” cruise after an utterly horrible experience on a prior cruise on the Splendor (see “Splendor? Not So Much”). What gave us some belief that service would be better was an ...

When the Explorer started sailing we thought it was wonderful and enjoyed several sailings. After waiting 2 years we due to covid we sailing the new Splendor. A definite WOW. Surpassed the Explorer in all categories. The decor is elegant and relaxing too. The perfect ship to sail across the Atlantic. Although I give an excellent rating, I must state that due to covid rules in Miami and our ...

Even though we had not been on the ship in three years due to the pandemic, very little had changed. Some of our favorite maitre'd's and servers had moved on to the Splendor as promotions or at their request. Service is still spectacular. Not a cruise for singles. It is an older crowd and most folks are married or coupled. Guests from across the globe made this an interesting experience. ...

My first cruise ever!

Overall, I (solo traveler) had a nice time. However, midway through the cruise I went to the Observation Lounge for a drink after dinner. The server came over to take my order, but then reminded me of the dress code (see below). I was extremely confused as I was wearing a white blouse, black skirt, and heels. I asked him to clarify, but he just repeated himself. After bringing me my drink, I felt ...

A HUGE thanks to Regent and especially the crew of the RSSC Splendor - some of whom hadn’t been off the ship since July-21 - for a lovely return to cruising. Our last cruise was in Jan/Feb-20 on the RSSC Explorer. This one had been booked for Jan-21. Despite the backdrop of the latest manifestation of Covid - Omicron - from start to finish we felt safer on Splendor than back food shopping in ...
