Disappointing Experience

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Regatta

We chose this cruise based on the cruise line’s reputation and itinerary. This was our first Oceania cruise and it left a bad taste. The cruise was scheduled to be at sea for three out of ten days. On the first day at sea, we were told that the ship would need to make an emergency stop to tender an ill passenger to shore. We were to have another day at sea and the captain indicated that we ...

Regatta seven bottle wine package

Oceania Regatta is offering a wine package of seven wines for $47.50 per bottle. I found these wines to be quite unremarkable and recommend that you spend yourhard USDs on wines from the standard wine list. The Regatta offers afternoon movies with popcorn and soft drinks which is most welcomed, especially on sea days. However the movies are not in closedcapioning. I asked the young man ...

Oceania Regatta is pseudo luxury

Embarkation: Quick and easy. Port of Miami employees were friendly and helpful. Passengers: The person who penned Oceania brochure's "country club casual" dress code might want to spend some time on Regatta checking out the passengers' attire as "Costco casual" seems a more apt description. There was nothing country club, elegant or sophisticated about our fellow passengers. Most travelers ...

My husband and I, wanted to upscale we call it from (Celebrity & Holland America). To see if their was a big difference. I love Celebrity cruise line, especially the food. I never find any fault with their food or ships and service. After 40 or more cruises through out my life time I must say it was time to up scale it. We booked Oceania. It was a 10 night. Nice Caribbean itinerary. The food ...

Recommended by their exclusive travel agent Vacations to Go. Service was the very best Food too was the best of all cruises we have been on. Ship is small and lacks many of the other amenities of the larger ships. The cabin was very cramped. Washroom suitable for a child with step up at the door. I was told by other passengers that they prefer the larger Riviera ship which has much ...

Panama Canal with Friends

We chose Oceania Regatta because we had sailed on the Insignia last year to Australia, New Zealand, and French Polynesia. The Regatta is the sister ship. This time we introduced our friends to Oceania! This was our 2nd cruise with Oceania Cruise Lines. Everything from start to finish was excellent. We chose the same type of cabin, the penthouse suite. A few days into our trip, we were ...

We wanted to go through the Panama Canal with a different line to have a variety of ports and experiences. I had heard good reviews of Oceania. We thought it would be a nice change. The first impression was of a classy lounge, dining area and reception. Our cabin was nice enough, but not one iota bigger than other cruise lines and the balcony was the smallest ever. AND, we had upgraded to ...

We sailed from Montreal to London last year on Oceania's Marina and were interested in trying one of its "R" class ships. We were also looking for a RESTFUL cruise as a break from very heavy work loads lately on the jobs. This year the Regatta was on a 10-day voyage from Miami--> Cape Canaveral--> Charleston--> Hamilton, Bermuda--> St George, Bermuda --> Nassau, Bahamas, then back to Miami, with ...

We chose this cruise because of the convenience for us to depart and return to Miami, for Oceania's reputation for good food, and for the experience of cruising on a smaller ship than we had previously experienced. Embarkation at noon was very fast and easy. We immediately lunched at Waves. I had a surf and turf on a roll - lobster and steak. Bad start for me. The lobster was undercooked and ...

The wonderful people and natural beauty of indigenous animals, birds, fish, plants, well worth the experience. The Regatta and crew come through every time, it is more like family, though we may be the family members requiring intervention. LOL Captain Hansen, Cruise Director Corey, and our Butler Rahman, were very personable, attentive to the guests, and thoroughly kept everyone updated. As ...
