Now that I am waiting to disembark the ship after an 18 day sailing on the MSC Divina I will leave you with my own personal review of this ship. Take it as a grain of salt like you would anyone’s review. We all have our own personal likes, dislikes, standards and personalities. Learn, get an idea and just go and have a great time on your vacation.
Ok onto my own thoughts.
EMBARKATION - ...
Sailing MSC makes you realize how some other lines really get it right. And what it's like when done wrong. The itinerary decided this try, and my brother in law sailed this very ship March 2023 for a short jaunt to ensure it was a good choice. He had a great 5 day Caribbean cruise so we were excited to try MSC for the first time on a special Christmas cruise.
SUMMARY: I hope your family ...
First off. This is our first cruise together and my first cruise period. I am writing this 9 days into our 11 day Christmas cruise.
Cabin:
We purchased a inner cabin on level 10 near the front of the ship. For what we paid, it has been pleasant. Pillows are good. Bed a bit hard. Sounds travels from nearby cabins. Bathroom is adjustable shower door for greater space in the lui. Lots ...
Yacht Club, Balcony cabin. Check in was horrific. Lines forever. Even with YC we had to wait 3 hours to board. NO drinks, snacks or extra service for at least 2 hours of the wait time. Finally when we were moved to a larger area we had water and the norm for YC. There were physical fights in waiting area as there was no direction from staff as to where the "general Pop" was to wait. So YC ...
I went on the 18 day cruise out of Miami on the Divina starting on 12/17/24. This cruise was my birthday (12/16) present to myself that went terribly wrong.
After standing in line for around 6 hours, I get to my room at 9:37 pm. On the ship, dinner was only available at the buffet and there were so many people, food was coming out under cooked like the hot dogs.
At 12:00 am on 12/18 my room ...
One of the worst experience in my adventure. The mistreated behavior of the crews, racist comments and making rules for just certain people. The ship needs stop sailing: the food was horrible, no taste whatsoever. Diluted drink from Windjammer and diner. Horrible smell from the sewer that lasted for the entire trip. Poor maintenance of the ship and decayed. I was feeling unwelcome by the crews ...
I chose the cruise because of the location, however this was by far the worse cruise ship I have been on. The Ship smelled horrible. you can tell they tried to mask the smell by keeping the general open spaces cold. The entire ship smelled like sewer. The staff was extremely unorganized. Especially when it pertained to debarking of the ship. This was by far the worse method of debarking a ship ...
What happens when a large group of African Americans travel on this ship? An atmosphere of Disdain, hostility, and obvious preferential treatment of others. I sailed in this ship with my family. It was huge gathering as we had not seen each other in years. You see groups of people on ships all the time. But for some reason when it was a large group of blacks people we were treated like scum. If we ...
As a group we have sailed multiple times with Royal Caribbean; each time our special needs were met with understanding and enthusiasm. I’m sad to report this occasion was disappointing. Unable to give a satisfactory review towards managing staff but kudos to the 8 pm main dining team.
A big part of the cruise experience is the food! Windjammer has always been a highlight of Royal Caribbean; ...
Very eery vibe on board. I was first excited to attend the 11 night cruise, but whenever my husband and I would go to eat, shortly after, we immediately noticed the workers would rush us to leave before we were done with our meals. We didn't see them do this with many of the non- black attendees. They'd reach over us to take our plates without as much as asking if we were done. This went on for ...
