Several months ago, my wife and I decided to do a transatlantic crossing. Having cruised with Oceania before, we decided to book the crossing on the Riviera. Our preference is typically small to medium size ships. The Riviera (as well as the Marina) are a little larger than we typically would book but for the crossing it was perfect.
The booking experience as easy and convenient. Specialty ...
My husband has always wanted to do a transatlantic crossing and the timing of the Oceania cruise was right. We both love food and wine and that was definitely a selling point to sail with Oceania, as was the relatively smaller ship size.
We had a fun couple of days in Miami before leaving; no problems getting to the terminal or our cabin once on board.
We found everyone on the staff to be ...
A transatlantic crossing has been on my bucket list for five tpyears but something always got in the way. When my wife and I made the decision to do it this spring we decided to go upscale since we would be on for two weeks with minimal port calls...thus we picked Oceana. We had a standard veranda cabin and the size and appointments were more than fine.
Of special note...the staff to a person ...
I chose to do a transatlantic cruise on the Riviera because it has a Resident Artist. The program surpassed my expectations. Noel Suarez is a masterful artist and teacher . Being in the art class was a major investment of time but worth it for me. Noel started at the beginning, drawing and after many lessons, the final product of everyone in the class was terrific. I had wanted to be inspired to ...
We had been on the Riviera on the transatlantic to Barcelona in the spring of 2016 and enjoyed it so much we decided to book again.
The itinerary was different - the Azores, Tangier, Mallorca and then Barcelona but unfortunately we encountered a big storm and we were forced to go to Madeira instead of the Azores. This was just fine by most passengers but we had visited Madeira on last year's ...
The food was excellent, the service was wonderful, But Oceania did not get us the two gift cards from our daughter that they assured we would get that day. Despite repeated requests to meet with Damien Lacroix the general manager there was no response for three days. When the secretary finally called Saturday and said he would call me back as soon as he finished with the customer he was with. I ...
We had a great Butler. Specialty restaurants were excellent. Buffet dinners were excellent. Main dining room a step below but good.
Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly.
Suite was excellent. Would like to have seen 2 sinks in bathroom. Shower tough for me to use but I'm 6'5". Very well furnished. Bed very comfortable. Walk in closet well done.
Entertainment was very good. ...
We recently completed the transatlantic cruise on Riviera from Miami to Barcelona. The boarding process was set up in a temporary tent, though not as professional a set up, the staff got the job done, quickly and efficiently. The ship has been immaculately maintained, the staff very well trained. We dined in all restaurants, including the specialty restaurants several times. Aside from our ...
This is my sixth cruise, all on Oceania. We chose a transatlantic cruise because we wanted a relaxing two weeks without guilt...we could lie in the sun and read, or participate in shipboard activities without fear of missing something in port. We docked overnight in Bermuda and were one day in Madiera, one day in Gibraltar on our way to Barcelona. It was a perfect itinerary for us.
We used ...
I had always wanted to try a TA cruise and this was a perfect opportunity. It turned out even better than my expectations. The greatest aspect was the leisurely pace, not having to get up early in the morning for a shore excursion, having plenty of time to linger over meals, and lots of the during the day for reading and napping.
My wife and I did only the 14 day TA crossing and returned from ...
