"In summary, I guess Oceania felt that not cancelling the cruise was good enough - no other consideration other than a couple of "free drink" receptions, which does mean much if you don't drink! The Terrace Cafe - we ate lunch there every day and dinner a few times - was relatively small so crowded around serving stations - but again very, very good...."Read More

1-10 of 102 Miami to the Bahamas Oceania Riviera Cruise Reviews
Oceania knew in advance that the seas were rough around Bermuda and the ship would not be going there. Instead of three days in Bermuda, Oceania substitute a day at sea, a day at its Great Stirrup Island, and a day in Jacksonville.
When the ship arrived at Great Stirrup Cay, we were told the sea was too rough to run tenders. We were then directed by Marine Ops to got to Jacksonville for two ...
We chose this cruise because some of my 93 year old mothers friends were going on it.and she wanted to join them. Being that she is elderly we thought someone from the family should also go with in case there were any issues. It ended up with others joining my mother. Three siblings and a son -in-law joined in.
When we checked in at the port in Miami they told us that we would not be going to ...
This was our first Oceania Cruise, and we chose it because of one destination - Bermuda. When we arrived at the port in Miami, we were told that we were not going to Bermuda due to high seas and strong currents. Since we had been to the other ports on the itinerary, we were disappointed, but what can you do? After a stop in Nassau (which was not worth even getting off the ship), we set sail for ...
I had sailed Oceania before, but several years ago.
This itinerary caught my fancy and I remembered how wonderful was my first time with them...the Mediterranean.
Our itinerary was totally upset by weather it seems and we had to skip Bermuda where we were to spend three days...the real reason for this trip. Then they did try to substitute an out island visit but the seas were too rough for ...
I have been wanting to try out Oceania after reading terrible reviews 5-6 years ago, but still hearing good things. Alas, it did not live up to its claims of being a luxury experience. It felt like we were being nickle and dimed and the cruise line cut corners on everything - entertainment, service, ports & dockings.
Supposedly completely refurbished in December, wallpaper was peeling on our ...
We chose this cruise because they claimed to be the best cuisine at sea! & we wanted to see Bermuda. Neither of which happened. The food was mediocre at best & instead of seeing Bermuda we visited Jacksonville business district & further sea days. We sailed straight past Burmuda, the captain said within 20 miles, which I am sure would have been better than Jacksonville. The Captain apologised but ...
Have been on the Riviera 3 times, and love the ship, and all her crew.! The quality of food and the service is second to none.! It’s so hard to pick any one person, or restaurant, they are all amazing.! We would like to mention though that the service and professionalism in Martinis lounge was of the highest standard.! And for their wonderful service and outstanding qualities, for making us feel ...
My wife & I wanted a relaxing vacation with adults with some decent opportunities for excursions. This ship and cruise fit the bill perfectly. We did our own excursions in Cozumel (Dolphin Discovery), Roatan-Honduras (Manawakie Eco Park), Santa Tomas-Guatemala (Go With Gus Rio Dulce/Livingston tour), and we spent hours walking around Belize City on a beautiful Sunday. Cannot say enough good things ...
We recently came back from a Riviera Caribbean cruise. This was our 16th cruise overall and second cruise on Oceania. We also sailed on Crystal and Azamara, and the rest mass market lines like Celebrity and Princess.
Overall it was an excellent experience, and it's great to be cruising again after 2 years!
Embarkation: Very quick, smooth and efficient. We arrived at 11am and at 11:40 were ...
Oceania Riviera Cruise – Caribbean Feb. 4 – Feb. 14, 2020
Why this cruise?
Out of our 41 ocean cruises, we had done 8 on Oceania vessels, and greatly enjoyed their small size, excellent food and general high quality of service; as well as good itineraries. Riviera is the same size as Oceana Marina, with 1250 passengers, and about twice the size of the four other ships in their fleet. But we ...
