The cruise was amazing. The food in the dining room was very good especially the brunch. I didnt feel like I was on a cruise more like I was at the Mall of America. Being an avid Princess cruiser I found myself not knowing what to do. The shows wete great but long. Cats was wonderful..The boardwalk ws plenty of fun always. Loved the Nextcruise office was oen all day. Casino was wonderful.Loved the ...

Beautiful Ship with Many Fun Activities

We wanted to experience one of the big ships in the Oasis class, since we had never sailed on one of these bigger ships. We chose this ship because we liked the itinerary of sea days mixed with port days and this ship was recently refurbished. Also, I believe that Miami is a beautiful port and we have friends to see there. We chose a junior suite for this cruise, which we enjoyed. (Side note-it ...

Oasis spoiled these first-time cruisers! Some downsides though. Details below...

We chose this cruise because of the Kids Sail Free promo. We spent the night before at a hotel close to the airport, so no worries about bad weather or delayed flights--important, coming from New England. This was our first cruise and I definitely think the ship spoiled us! Embarkation was pretty easy, and they let us on even though we arrived earlier than our allotted time due to the limited ...

We have cruised on Princess, Carnival and one other Royal Caribbean cruise. I chose this cruise and this ship because I wanted to try a mega ship for the experience and I chose a Central Park balcony because no other cruise line offers these types of staterooms. Embarcation: Easiest embarcation of any cruise we've been on. We were on the ship in record time. First impression: Wow! Did not ...

Good job on amplification. But just too big for our taste

We had previously sailed on the Oasis in 2012. We were asked to change staterooms the Wednesday prior to the sailing as our junior suite had a pull out couch and the one they ask us to take did not. I agreed even though we had selected the original stateroom, based on the location next to our friends. RC did give us a $400 onboard credit. Miami terminal was simple and efficient. I have found ...

My wife and I are both retirees and have been on nine previous cruises on Princess, Holland America, Celebrity, Cunard, and Norwegian. This was our first cruise on Royal Caribbean and our first cruise on a “mega-ship” with six thousand plus passengers. While we had reservations about the size and style of the ship, we wanted to join a Greek social group that was sailing on this cruise. We were ...

Mind blowing in some areas, dissapointing in others

All in all, this a great ship with lots to do. For the most part they've done a great job spreading out the crowds, however, there are few areas where the huge number of passengers becomes a big problem. I will detail them below. PROS: The "Central Park" neighborhood is breathtaking. It really feels quiet and intimate. You completely forget you are in the middle of a huge ship surrounded by ...

Ringing in the New Year on a really big ship

I generally dislike larger ships, but we were planning a multi-generational cruise for the holidays, and the itinerary worked with our dates. We were a total of 11 people, ages 13-75, and booked 3 Grand Suites. Getting to the port in Miami was a nightmare, as 6200 people were leaving the port at the same time that many of us were arriving. We had a private van that we had booked with American ...

Great Ship for Entertainment but poor food and noisy cabin

Great entertainment except for Cats which was boring but had great actors. Food was pretty bad even worse than carnival. I realized that after eating a regular burger with no bun ...just the patty and noticed it was made of inferior beef or a mix of beef and perhaps vegetable protein. Even the lobster was pretty bad. Ate mostly fish which was pretty good. After 9pm...the only food you ...

This is my 27th RCCL cruise and I am at the Diamond Plus level. I am a "loyalist", as such as the cruise line tries to raise the bar of quality of food, service and entertainment. Those levels are expected on the next cruise and the next cruise, etc. Embarkment: Traveling via RCCL arranged bus transfers from Fort Lauderdale to Miami, the ride was smooth and we arrived at Terminal A, we were on ...
