Never Again

Being my first review I'm a little intimidated. It seems that those who respond to negative reviews often do so by criticizing the author's grammar, sentence structure and overall literacy. I don't claim to be Ernest Hemmingway, but I think this is supposed to be about the cruise isn't it? We were not expecting a high-end cruise experience, just something similar to what we got on our first ...

Though I had a great time, this is the most disappointing cruise I have been on. Positive random thought: The cabin was very nice. The shower was the largest I have seen on a cruise line. The Circus Bijou show was the nicest show I have seen on a cruise ship Dinning: The first six nights of this cruise it seemed the dining and cooking staff was swamped. We waited twenty minutes for them to ...

The Jewel Sparkled!

We had a wonderful cruise on the Norwegian Jewel - especially considering the lousy time we had on HAL in January. The Jewel sparkled! I love how they paint their ships, very colourful and welcoming, as were the staff. The food was good, but not exceptional. Our cabin was nice and we enjoyed many afternoons on our balcony with a glass of wine. The ship was clean and well organized, however we ...

This was our 7Th cruise. We already had been on Carnival 4 times, and once on RC and Princess, all of them very nice. This trip was the longest, 13 nights! Embarkation was fine and quick enough. Once we got on board that is when we started noticing the differences. First of all, service. Not good, room service was often late, we usually left early and came back late and still the room was not done. ...

Greetings! Okay, so here's my review of the 2 week NCL Jewel Repositioning Cruise, departing April 11th from Miami and returning April 24th in NYC. Please note - in regards to my review: 1) I am 30 years old 2) I was traveling with my partner, and my parents (sep rooms) 3) I am always gracious to have "a hot meal", regardless of culinary expertise 4) I stay out late (past midnight) Here's ...

We had an awesome cruise! NCL are the best and their employees are fabulous. We went as a group; myself, wife 2 year old son, inlaws. We stayed in adjoining mini suites and loved it. Our room attendant was Edguardo and he was fantastic and very, very kind to our son. He made sure there was a new towel animal on his bed everyday! We love NCL, we would recommend them to anyone ...

13 Day Repo-Best Ever Cruise

This was our 6th cruise on NCL and absolutely the best. We flew out of Newark to Miami the day before the cruise with no problems. Stayed at La Quinta East along with a bunch of other CC'ers. The hotel was fine, nothing fancy, but fine, breakfast included. We rented a car and drove over to Haulover Beach on Sunny Isles for a few hours and then went for dinner in South Beach. A great way to start ...

I came, I saw, I escaped from Miami

This cruise, from April 11th through April 23rd, caught my eye because I liked the idea of starting in one port and ending up in my home port of NYC. I flew home immediately after cruising Alaska and will never do that again; it's too jarring to go from a relaxed state to the levels of anxiety and stress that are the "new normal" of an American airport. Catching a cab home sounded wonderful. I ...

This was my first time cruising with NCL; have only cruised with Royal Carribean in the past and was hesitant about trying a new one since Royal was top of the line experience. Pros: Stateroom: We had 2 inside rooms since I am a single mom with 3 children and this was more cost effective than a suite. The cabin was very clean. Food: There was a decent variety. Overall the food was mediocre to ...

Norwegian Jewel April 4th, 2010 Please excuse my habit of being ALL OVER THE PLACE with my writing. I will start by mentioning the gathering set up for the folks who were on the CruiseCritic Roll Call for this cruise. It was set up for the first day at sea, 11am, in the Maltings Beer and Whiskey Bar on deck 6. NCL was very nice to work with on setting this gathering up and a class act as ...
