Who said Transatlantic cruises are boring?

I was on the Norwegian Epic for 22 days, 12 of those days were at sea. I LOVE at sea. I love being on a trivia team and learning to work with those different from me, I loved the evening entertainment, the daily seminars, the freestyle buffet, the movies, the lectures, the port talks, the dance lessons, the exercise classes, the library, reading, doing crosswords, playing games, sitting and ...

Big, Beautiful Ship; Impersonal Crew

Just returned from a transatlantic crossing from Miami to Barcelona on the Epic. Had a fantastic time, mostly because of the passengers I met on board. I want to share a few things. First, the ship is so big that it is overwhelming at first. Once I got used to it, it was fine. If you have trouble walking or wear out easily, I would not choose this ship. I have an 80- year old mother who ...

Single cruising will always be my choice!

This was my first cruise, indeed I chose a reposition cruise for my very first voyage. Ambitious to say the least. I thought I would have a problem with motion sickness, I purchased Dramamine to avoid unpleasant surprises. The second night was a bit rough, I took the Dramamine once before falling asleep and I was fine in the morning. I did not have an issue with it from that point forward. My ...

We booked this cruise because, like many experienced cruisers, we were curious about what a transatlantic cruise would be like. We also felt that this was a chance to experience a mega ship, the sort of ship that would not ordinarily be our choice. We ended up persuading our inlaws to come along. They are less experienced cruisers but to their credit were game for anything. We arrived in Miami ...

What a fantastic cruise. It was wonderful to take this ship on a transatlantic from Miami to Barcelona. The ship was great to do a transatlantic as it is large and has a lot to do a board. During the many days a seat you can take advantage of the alternate restaurants, all the entertainment on board and just visit every nook and cranny. FOOD: I had been on the Norwegian epic a month before ...

NOT WORTH THE MONEY

I love to cruise and have been on plenty of Norwegian cruise ships before however, this boat was much too big and NOT ENOUGH OUTDOOR SPACE. It may be one of their biggest ships but most of the boat is dedicated to cramming as many people into little spaces as possible and VERY LITTLE is for relaxing. The only space to read a book without cigarette smoke is on the top deck which is loud and windy ...

Eleven days a bit too long...

We were three friends sailing on the transatlantic crossing to Barcelona on NCL's Epic. One of our group had booked a "solo" cabin which worked out well, as our balcony cabin was on the same deck 11mid-ship. This crossing was very smooth, hardly any motion to speak of. The captain actually stated that this was one of the smoothest, best weather crossings ever, with sunshine very day although too ...

This was my 6th NCL cruise, (2 on the Sun, 1 each on the Dawn, Pearl and Sky) but my first crossing ( by sea) and I totally enjoyed it! I did the repositioning from Miami to Barcelona. Because I had so enjoyed some of the specialty restaurants on previous NCL cruises I decided to buy the Dining package and I was not disappointed. I ate at every specialty restaurant and they were all ...

Enjoyable but not repeatable

We had the highest number of CC cruisers on our Transatlantic but only one review so far. So here I will try to write down whatever I remember from my faulty memory. Sorry if it is just a rambling and not well planed. Embarkation is smooth enough. We are in group 1 (after suite guests), so we are on board in no time. Some officers greet us at the entrance which is nice. However, once inside, I ...

Great Ship

Interior cabin was about the same size as other cruise lines and ships. The dressing bar was very well planned and provided adequate space for cosmetic products. However, if you aren't a person who can keep the dresser tidy, you'll have a hard time finding space for 2nd day announcement/souvenirs and "stuff" your spouse just can't part with. The shower and toilet are in separate nooks on either ...
