Horrible is too good a word to describe cruise.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Chose the Epic because of it's newness and size. The on board process was excellent. That ends the good part of the cruise. First night - Kids running up and down hallways. On top of our state room and on each side. Same pattern most nights. It is ridiculous for families with kids and adults traveling without kids. Complained to NCL personnel . Kept hearing we will take care ...

Who said Transatlantic cruises are boring?

I was on the Norwegian Epic for 22 days, 12 of those days were at sea. I LOVE at sea. I love being on a trivia team and learning to work with those different from me, I loved the evening entertainment, the daily seminars, the freestyle buffet, the movies, the lectures, the port talks, the dance lessons, the exercise classes, the library, reading, doing crosswords, playing games, sitting and ...

Left Miami April 19th. This was my second cruise and my second time on the Epic having taken it from Barcelona to Miami Oct 2014. I had booked early in 2014 but changed my reservation in Jan 2015 for a balcony cabin when they were having a promotion. I didn't really care about the balcony cabin but it turned out less exp"nsive due to the onboard credit included in the promotion - and the ...

Not So "Epic" Cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Embarkation was chaotic to get on board the ship. At one point, after methodically calling out group number in sequence, a GENERAL BOARDING announcement was called and a stampede ensued to the doorway. An employee stopped the herd at the doorway saying the announcement came from a different terminal. It was at that point it was just impossible to turn the entire crowd around and back to their ...

Rest? Huh!

We booked this cruise because, like many experienced cruisers, we were curious about what a transatlantic cruise would be like. We also felt that this was a chance to experience a mega ship, the sort of ship that would not ordinarily be our choice. We ended up persuading our inlaws to come along. They are less experienced cruisers but to their credit were game for anything. We arrived in Miami ...

Big, Beautiful Ship; Impersonal Crew

Just returned from a transatlantic crossing from Miami to Barcelona on the Epic. Had a fantastic time, mostly because of the passengers I met on board. I want to share a few things. First, the ship is so big that it is overwhelming at first. Once I got used to it, it was fine. If you have trouble walking or wear out easily, I would not choose this ship. I have an 80- year old mother who ...

Loved our TA to Barcelona

We chose this cruise for the rest we truly needed. Embarkation in Miami was a bit chaotic as you can imagine 3500 people getting on. The TA itself was very calm and the weather was perfect. We had the Ultimate Dining Package, and made good use of it. We truly enjoyed dining at Cagney's (try the Wagyu Beef Sliders mmm) and Le Bistro (for escargots), Moderno was great and so was Teppanyaki ...

Another Great Cruise on the Norwegian Epic

I was first on the Epic in February of 2014. We loved the "new" NCL so much we went on the Getaway in October of 2014 and we are booked on the Escape in 2015. Needless to say I am saying goodbye to my old friend Princess Cruises (17 cruises) and moving to NCL. Freestyle is my idea of how cruising should be. If you want to dress up, do it but don't expect others to do so. From everything to ...

Single cruising will always be my choice!

This was my first cruise, indeed I chose a reposition cruise for my very first voyage. Ambitious to say the least. I thought I would have a problem with motion sickness, I purchased Dramamine to avoid unpleasant surprises. The second night was a bit rough, I took the Dramamine once before falling asleep and I was fine in the morning. I did not have an issue with it from that point forward. My ...

Trans Atlantic from Miami Spring 2015

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

The Epic is showing wear and tear. Rust and paint bubbles. Saw several fabric seat cushions with worn edges and stains. Laminated edges of some doors and counters were loose. Although windows were washed in port, there was a dull haze on their surfaces. I believe that most of the passengers on this Atlantic crossing were experienced cruisers. Usually it takes a day or two for passengers to ...
