Took me a few days to get the swing of taking a cruise. lots of lines initially to wait in. Difficult to get chairs by the pool etc...Once we booked out dinners and entertainment that was out of the way. The ability to book thru the mobile application and TV in the cabin did not work. if alternative booking methods were available this would have made the situation much better.
Purchased the ...
I took my 13 year old twin boys on this cruise. We sailed on the Getaway last year and the kids loved it. They couldn't wait to get on the epic.
The good news is that there is a lot to do on board, for all ages. We had the ultimate dining and ultimate beverage packages. Dining was excellent. Dinner was the highlight of most days on the boat. We ate at la cucina once. Garfield was an ...
My family and I had a wonderful vacation on the Norwegian Epic. There were 8 of us in my party, and everyone had a great time. I have cruised with NCL several times and I actually found the food on the Epic to be exceptional. I do not, as a rule, buy up to the specialty restaurants (my feeling is that all of the food comes from the same kitchen) or do the buffet for dinner. I was amazed at the ...
My friend and I sailed last week on the Norwegian Epic. We both had Studio Staterooms and I continue to believe they are brilliant. There is plenty of room for one person and the Studio Living Room is a great meeting place to catch up with other solos or grab a cup of freshly brewed coffee. I only hope that more cruise lines add solo rooms to their ships.
Overall, the Epic is a good ship and ...
This was our second spring break cruise trip with the kids (15 and 9). We went on Carnival Conquest last year and decided to see the Epic before is disappeared for good! I'm glad we did. This ship is HUGE! It had plenty of activities and food options to appease most everyone on board.
The embarkation, and all entering/exiting of the ship was handled amazingly well. I was nervous about how they ...
I have been on a number of cruises with and without the kids. This one was pretty standard in terms of kids’ stuff, on-board activities and those same 5 line dancing songs played over and over. The ship itself was well maintained and clean. There were a couple of instances where an amenity was not working like a pool or the water slides but these were quickly remedied. People on board (the ...
This was my 5th cruise I went on. We stayed in a stateroom with a balcony. It was the biggest room I have stayed in. Balcony was well worth the money. Arriving the first day was a awesome experience. Right when we went to baggage claim someone was there to greet us and patiently waited for us to receive our bags. The whole process of getting on the ship was very fast. We arrived around 12. One ...
This was the first cruise we have taken. I read a lot if the reviews and felt very prepared for the worst and the best. As a first time cruiser, there were a few things that we felt should have been explained more clearly. For example, we were told that we could leave our bags in the baggage area and they would be delivered to our room. However, we opted to take them with us when checked in. Our ...
My wife, our son (13) and his buddy (13) had Haven Owners Suites - #17032 & #17035.
Upon entry into the special boarding area, we were greeted with an NCL representative who was new to this ship. It felt a bit disorganized. The waiting area and the continental breakfast in the Cruise Terminal felt like an after-thought. We sat there for well over a 1/2 hour while the ship was getting ...
This was our fifth cruise, fourth with NCL, and our first on a mega ship. As usual, we had a fantastic time, even though there were a couple things we didn't like. We arrived in Fort Lauderdale the night prior and used the NCL transfer to Miami, which is always quick and easy. We didn't know what to expect for check in and embarkation due to the size of the ship, but check in went really ...
