Our Memorable Reaffirmation of our wedding vows cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

we had had very good comments on this cruise line from family members and it was suppose to be a little more fancy than our only other cruise which was with Carnival Victory (it was very enjoyable although the ship ran low on breakfast meats on the last day). This was to be a very special cruise our first with just us and we planned to redo our vows for our 20th anniversary. Embarkation day we ...

First Cruise - Dysfunctional

Hello. I was looking for a cruise to wind down and relax. However the cruise was a tornado of dysfunctional proportions by the cruise line. I get to the window and give them my passports. They ask for my room number. I offer it. The lady says, no the room number on the website is not your room. The supervisor female comes over and says they double booked us. Here is our number to our room. They ...

5 Day cruise to West Caribbean

I booked NCL Dawn to try a different NCL ship. I had been on the NCL Bliss and NCL Sky before this one. Bliss being one of the newest and Sky being one of the oldest. The Dawn has had a recent refurb, but I do not believe that included the guest rooms, just the public areas. The ships pool is VERY small. Being a larger ship than the Sky it has half the pool that the Sky does. Food was average, ...

5 Day Caribbean Cruise on NCL Dawn First let me say we had a wonderful cruise. Staff was very attentive to cruisers needs. Embarkation went very smoothly. We were able to get a nice sit down lunch in the main dining room. We know that the ship had undergone a dry dock refurbishment. The Venetian Dining room was now decorated with paintings with beautiful frames but the art work was very ...

Worst cruise I've had so far

So many issues with our cruise with NCL on the Dawn to Belize and Mexico .. Issues started pre cruise with cabin changes without notice. Than once onboard the issues continued, 1st occurrence was the steward throwing out a case of water and Gatorade that was brought onboard with no issues . Than another issue we had happened before our port of call which was Belize, apparently ...

I can’t complain much. This is my 3rd Norwegian cruise and 6 overall. I’ve been on the escape in 2017 and the sky in 2012. The escape by far was the best. The bathroom toilet on the Dawn smelt terrible the whole time. The bathroom were the toilet was, was very tight. I’m not a huge person either. I had 2 specialty dining package when I booked. Ate at los labos and cagneys steakhouse. The ...

I rated my experience as “poor” due to the lack of quality customer service and resolution. I just came back from Norwegian Dawn porting from Miami and it was by far an unenjoyable experience. This is not my first cruise; however, it was with this cruise line and I will not be back nor, will I be referring anyone. The onboard staff was not helpful in resolving issues that arise while at sea. The ...

Un-Friendly Staff, Smelly Rooms

I hate to leave such an awful review but those traveling on the NCL Dawn must be made aware, at least so their expectations are not too high. We stayed in a balcony Mini-Suite. Decent size room, bathroom had a bathtub which is great for kids, big closet. Those are the pros. Now for the cons: Carpet was smelly, my closet smelled so bad, I even had to wash the clothes I didn't wear when I got home. ...

We arrived at noon to embark and due to the volume of people, we had to make a line for emigration and it took us about an hour and a half to embark. Our first dining experience took place at the Venetian restaurant. We had a good experience due the service and food quality. After our lunch, we received an induction on the safety instructions which are mandatory by an international regulation. ...

First time cruisers - very good experience

We had a wonderful first cruise experience! Our cabin had an outside partially obstructed view. It was very nice, the lifeboat was low and we could see out the whole window. Our family of four fit well on the queen, trundle and fold down beds, but they were all pretty uncomfortable. We took small collapsible luggage, that helped a lot. There is a closet, shelves and a few small drawers. The layout ...
