Me and my husband and 2 children 11 and 14 voyaged out for our 12th cruise Our Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas from Dec 9-12th. We arrived in Miami the night before our cruise and stayed at the JW Marriott, which is great... Had dinner at the Oceanaire Seafood Room and I must say it was exceptional food...the lobster was great!! The next day we used the shuttle service. Very friendly and curtious. They were waiting for us and were knowledgeable of the cruise we were taking. Staff... Wonderful.... Everyone from Officers to maintenance personnel smiled and gave a "hello" when we passed. Let me just say again all the staff on the ship, is GREAT, but the wait staff in the main dining room, makes you not want to leave your table...so professional, so talented, so friendly, so relaxing..Thanks Maria and Jen... Bars.. Two Poets is good for a before or after dinner drink and smoke..very nice staff...the strawberry daquri was to die for. Johnny Rockets: I love hamburgers...they gave large portions for the money..we were served right away. The cafe 50's theme was very cool. The kids loved it! The Windjammer offered a prime rib which was delicious..the attendents were there to ask if we needed anything and very polite.. The Main Dining Room exceeded my expectations, from the staff to the food I can't compliment them enough. The portion size was a as expected....huge. And a beautiful room. There was plenty of things to do for the kids..golf and shuttle board..pools and more..very kid friendly..other activities The X Games, Rockin' Through the Decades.. Scavenger Hunts, Backstage Tour, The Art Walk, Win, Cruise or Draw, Sports Tournaments. Be sure to save time for the shows. I thought the entertainment was exceptional. Everything from the Ice Show to the Belly Flop Competition. There's not one thing we would have wanted to miss. And, by the way, the shows far exceeded my expectations! Entertainment: 1st night was Dean Austin comedian. He was very friendly and a great laugh. 2nd The show called All Access..They were a bunch of young singers and dancers. Very good. 3rd Randy Cabral..the comedy juggler..I had seen him somewhere I said to my husband...it was Jay Leno...he was very funny..love the paddle ball trick. Another thing I've come to like about RCL is the Crown and Anchor loyalty program, which has significant benefits, which is a huge plus for us...it is so nice and has such a welcome feel when we travel with RCL...I can't praise this cruise line..I have been on numberour cruises and I feel this is the best around! Wow, Wow. First time cruising for me (I'm twelve), although probably the 30th time cruising for my grandparents (who had never been on a RC cruise). At the time I was 11, and my grandparents were taking me on a 4 night cruise during Christmas. The Navigator was docked next to 2 Carnival ships, and it was probably twice the size of each. As you could imagine, I was somewhat nervous, and very excited. The check-in line wasn't so long, although it did feel like we were waiting for some time. Once we got on the ship, we went to the buffet for lunch. I can't even describe how much variety there was. There were like 5 desert tables and like 3 ice cream machines, any kids dream. After eating, we went to our stateroom. It wasn't huge, and for someone who has contacts, the washroom wasn't of much use because of the small sink. The Royal Promenade was absolutely beyond words. It was like a walk in New York (including the busyness). My grandparents, who have been on many cruises, had told me before had that I wouldn't need a sweatshirt. Well, it was a bit chilly, so they bought me a nice and cozy RCI sweatshirt. The pools were great, although, even for someone who LOVES swimming, I didn't have time to swim. The kids club was AMAZING! And on the last night, my grandparents payed a fee of $5 so I could stay until 1 am. Probably the best night of my cruise. The rock climbing wall was really fun. Once you get to the top, I suggest you take a minute to look at the never ending water (I saw another boat!). Another fun thing to do is mini golf. You don't have to wait for so long, although it depends on how many people are playing (just make sure your ball doesn't fly of the boat!) ;) Of course there is ice skating, almost everyones favourite past time. And then there is ice skating in the middle of a boat, in the middle of the ocean, thats something you can't do everyday. There are a number of amazing ice shows, and also some times where you and your family can skate. On the cruise we went on, there was only one port of call, Cozumal Mexico. I swam with the dolphins, and just walked around. It was really fun. The other days we were cruising, and it was Christmas. The ship was well decorated, and there were times were kids could meet santa and got presents. The kids club organized fun activities, and really were into the spirit. My Grandparents booked the my time dining, so it was convenient. I don't prefer seeing shows that they are interested in (although I heard that on some cruises they are showing hairspray, which I really enjoy), so I sat out that. Although, they came back to the cabin smiling, and said they loved the show. When it comes down to things, I honestly can't wait to go on another cruise! Read Less
